First unplug the refrigerator, shut off the water supply line to the ice maker. Disconnect the supply line to the solenoid, take off the back panel to the refrigerator and disconnect the supply line from the solenoid. The solenoid has an easy disconnect end where you just apply even pressure to the release washer and the refrigerator supply line comes out; the new solenoid worked the same way, insert the water supply line from the ice tray to the solenoid (once the tube is inserted it is recommended to gently pull the tube to lock it in place) and your done. You just have to put things back together turn on your water supply and plug in the refrigerator.
