Needen to tap on the control to get the refrigerator to start, other wise it would warm up.
The repair was easy. In the freezer compartment I removed the plastic light shield by using a screw driver as a pry. (very carefully). Pulled the knob off, then just removed the control unit. Removed the two wires and the ground. Replaced with the new one, which was not exactly the same as the old one, but none the less, fit right in. Rei nstalled and everything was up and running again.
