Timer not functioning. Something heavy had been pushed against the timer preventing it from moving.
I unplugged the dryer. Removed the timer knob on the front of the control panel. Removed the back plate on the control panel (6 screws). Took the timer loose from the control panel, 1 screw in front 2 screws behind one on each side of timer. I then removed one at a time one each of the 13 wires connected to the old timer and attached it to the new timer. Reattached the timer to the control panel, reattached the back plate and plugged in the dryer. It works perfectly now.

I diagnosed the problem by testing for continuity between the two heater terminals on the timer when it was turned on (unplugged of course). Once I got the part I removed five screws on the back panel, then two screws for the timer then one by one I switched the wires from the old unit to the new.
