Replace the dual range switch
Shut off power but was not necessary to disconnect main wiring as the lead was long enough to lift up the cooktop and flip it over. Remove the main cover and then remove the switch panel. This is required to access the mounting screws for the switch. Removed each wire in turn from the old switch and install on the new switch to preven t mistakes. reposition the new switch and make sure gasket holes are aligned and then install the mounting screws. Note: I had previous issues with possible shorts between the wires on the switches and the main cover after using a burner for an extended time so I add electrical tape to protect the wire mount at the switches. Reinstall the switch plate and cover. flip the cooking surface back over and put back in place. easy job
