Removing the old stud
there should have been removal and install instructions with the part. it would have made the job real easy.

Shelf stud had broken
I watched the online video instructions, then ordered the part. Installation was very easy after watching the video again. The hardest part was getting what was left of the shelf stud out (it had broken off almost flush with the wall)...tricky getting the wrench on and then being able to move the stud in either direction without the wrenc h slipping off...but I got it done....and I'm a petite older woman.

Shelf support stud broke off
Used an adjustable plier. Broken stud removed easily and new one installed easiy :-) Video on website was very helpful. All went well and refrigerator is ready for Thanksgiving!!! Support stud part # 2149540
