Product Description

This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. The glide belt is found in Yeats hand trucks. This part is made of flexible rubber, and comes with two cotter pins for attachment. It is attached to pulleys on either side of the upright rails so that it can move over the glide belt slides and act as a tire while lifting the hand truck up stairs. You may require pliers when replacing this item.

Old belts dry rotted.
You simply remove the axel by taking out the cotter pins on one side only. Removing the wheel on one side and sliding the axel out just far enough to slip the old belts out and the new ones on. The top pulleys have a slack adjustment due to the bolt hole being elongated. Walk the new belts on each pulley by seating them in the bottom pull ey and while spinning the belt slowly with it started on the top pulley gradually move the belt into place. Yeats dolly has a video for this procedure on their web site.
