Coffee machine thinks its finished before it's started, or stops halfway through.
Unplug it, remove the coffee jug. Turn it upside down. Undo all the screws in the base and lift off the base. There are two orange tubes. The water feed pipe is the one with a valve in the middle. If you squeeze both pipes, you fill find one is rigid in the middle.

Pull that pipe off the plastic water feed tube. Squeeze the w ire clamp that holds the other end of the tube to the heating spiral and slide it away from the pipe. Pull the pipe off the heating spiral. Blow down the new tube from both ends to figure out which way the valve operates. Install the tube with the new valve so that the water flows from the water tank into the heater spiral and cannot return back from the spiral into the tank.

Put the retaining clip back over the new tube. Close up the base. Screw the screws back in. Order your next part ... this will gum up again in 6 months or so, but the replacements are cheap, so order many of them! It's a 5-minute job to replace.
