coffee maker hot plate rusted
made sure coffee maker unplugged ,pulled out filter tray and tray holder ,two items .Made sure no water left over in maker ,turned unit upside down , unscrewed four screws ,small headed phillips screw driver, since there was no visual or written instructions i just went blindly forward with only the replacement plate . Removed bottom di rectly upward,then there is a metal brace 31/2 " to 4"long held on by two screws ,remove them . This makes the plate ,heating element loose so you can slide the heat plate off ,there is a rubber seal all around the hot plate ,save the seal and remove carefully from plate.Now to replace ,get super glue and glue rubber seal to new plate and leave it alone for 30 minutes then put in reverse steps and don't over tighten and test with only water,check hot plate carefulllllly!!!! Handy HANS at your service
