Is there a spring that can keep the damper from clanking when it is windy out?

Hi John, thank you for the question. According to our research, there is no spring that can keep the damper from clanking. First, tighten up the damper with the help of a screwdriver. If this does not help, then you may need to replace the damper, part number FIX10280791. We hope this sorts out your problem!
