Product Description

This part is the replacement adaptor pump assembly, also known as the check valve and hose assembly for your dishwasher. It is made of white and brown plastic, and is approximately 4 ½ inches long, 1 ¼ inches wide and the opening at the top is about an inch in diameter. The adaptor pump assembly connects the sump and the drain pump, and prevents dirty water from getting back in. If it cracks, it can cause a water leak, and will need to be replaced. This part is sold individually and is an authentic OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

A rodent chewed through the soft rubber of the sump and the adaptor assembly and allowed water to pour out of the bottom of the dishwasher almost immediately upon beginning the wash cycle.
First the dishwasher needs to be disconnected completely, drain, water supply, and electrical so that it can be pulled out from the cabinet.I laid out a moving blanket on the floor and turned the dishwasher on it's side.The damaged part was easily identified. Then I released 5 hose clamps with a 5/16" nut driver (a small socket set would also work) and proceeded to gently pull out the rubber sump at each of its connections. Had to use a flathead screwdriver at one of the hose clamp connections. Pulled out the Adaptor Assembly and then began reconnecting the sump by tightening each of the hose clamps. It was that easy! The sump can only go in one way, so it wasn't confusing at all.
