Product Description

This part includes two OEM carbon brushes with the wire leads attached. Your tools motor requires two carbon brushes to create electricity for the armature. It is common for the carbon brushes to wear down over time, and this is why it is important to continually inspect them and replace them as part of your regular maintenance. If you notice sparks around the commutator, this may indicate a worn brush or a damaged armature, so we recommend inspecting both. To access this part you will need to remove the rear cover.

Armature was shorted (Used only three times)
Disassembly is simple enough but please remove the brushes before pulling out the armature. It is imperative as the commutator ring will catch on the brushes otherwise. Slipped in the new armature and installed the new brushes and reassembled. Runs smoothly and performs as expected. Old brushes were not worn at all as it was used very little but installed new ones anyway.
