Product Description

This is an authentic part that is intended to be used with air compressors from Porter Cable, Black & Decker, and Bostitch. This safety valve attaches to the switch box or the manifold, and is used to release air from the tank if the pressure becomes too high inside the tank. If the safety valve goes off it will need to be replaced, because it can not be reused. The safety valve is sold individually.

Tool issue with the pressure switch.
The videos are great and easy to follow. The installation of the safety valve was dead easy.

Had an issue with the pressure switch. The screws holding the outer housing of the pump together are Torq screws (T20). Most were accessible, including the ones attaching the pump to the tank and the ones holding the handle together. But the two screws holding the two halves of the pump housing together are at the end of a narrow recess that is about 3 1/2” long. It’s too narrow for a basic ratcheting screwdriver that takes different bits, because of the width of the socket that holds the bit. The only dedicated T20 screwdriver I could find at the local hardware stores were too short. I couldn’t find one like the one in the video.

I was able to order an extension driver on-line that looks like it is long and thin enough; it should arrive Friday.
