The timer for my dryer's work cycle stopped working
I watched the video once to familiarize myself with both the part and the dryer unit. After I removed the back plate on the dryer, I took a picture of the "as is" wiring on the old timer so that I could put all the wiring back where it is supposed to go. I do realize that the part I purchased is color coded for the wiring, but some time

s you just have to double up on your "CYA's". Total time on the removal and installation was about 5-8 minutes. The video on the website is perfect as far as a step by step guide.

Had A Problem With The Timer Not Turning Off.
There were 3 items that could have been the problem so with the age of the unit I decided to change all 3. The prices were reasonable so I decided to also buy the maintenance kit too. After taking out the 2 screws at the lint catcher and prying up the lid I was able to get to the back of the console. The timer took no time to replace.

A couple screws and wire connectors and it was done. I would say it was about 15 mins total including the work to raise the lid. I then tackled the kit. Taking off the front of the unit was easy and actually replacing the belt, idler and 2 rollers took about 20 mins. After thoroughly vacuuming out the unit and cleaning the lint chamber. I put the drum back in and re-installed the front dropped the top in place, 2 screws at the lint catcher it was back together. The recycling thermostat and thermal fuse were in the same location in the back of the unit. About 8 screws and the back was off. They are both located at the bottom back of the unit and easy to get to. Another 15 mins a few screws and wire connections with another vacuuming of the back refastening of the back and lint hose it was time to plug the old girl back, and it ran like a dream. Very quiet now that it has the new kit in it too.

I took a an iPad photo of the timer before disconnecting the wires & waited for a few days to receive the new timer, & it worked like a gem the first time i tried it. it saved me $40 by buying online instead of the middle man (local repair man).
