dryer drum turned, timer worked, but there was no heat
Looked online, found that this could be caused by a blown thermistor, and that thermistors could blow because of lint clogging the exhaust. Online information suggested that the thermistor could be found on the housing near the fan. Removed the top of the dryer. Had some trouble with the control panel removal, but it eventually popped loose. Removed the front panel, which uncovered the exhaust fan housing. Removed the exhaust fan cover plate and cleaned all the accumulated lint from the exhaust fan blades. Removed and cleaned the exhaust itself, from the dryer through the wall. Replaced the thermistor, and re-assembled the dryer (exhaust fan cover, front panel, control panel, and dryer top).

Dryer would not start
Removed top and door both parts easily visible in front of unit. replaced both parts read somewhere if you are going to replace one you should replace the other. Fixed the problem> Dryer now works.
