This high limit thermostat is about an inch and a half long. This thermostat will cut out when the internal temperature of your dryer reaches 240 degrees Fahrenheit, and cut back in when the temperature drops forty degrees.

Flame kept going out, despite having cleaned the vent.
I had cleaned the exhaust vent within the dryer, as well as the vent tube going out of the house. The problem continued with the flame not staying on. Even though I changed all electrical parts (despite all the parts electrically testing OK using an Volt/Ohm meter), the ultimate solution was to clean the exhaust vent going out of the ho

use (about 10 feet in length) much more thouroughly = result was flame would then stay on. I needed a 10 foot cleaning rod with 4" bristle brush, as well as a leaf/yard blower. SO... now i have about $120 of new electrical parts installed into the dryer that I didn't need. THE VENTS MUST BE THOUROUGHLY CLEANED FIRST!!!
