Dryer would run but would stop with a code E-64
and it would sometimes run a few minutes and sometimes for a hour but after taking the top off there was a code chart and I did a factory reset and a test and a code E-63 came up saying it was the heating coil but while I had the back off I turned it o Took off the top and then unplug it and then took the vent off and the plug wires (be sure to mark the color of the wires with where they go) and then took the back off and I had to use a flashlight to see the thermostat and the limiter and they are side by side and took the four wires off, (don't pull on the wires but on the connectors and use some pliers if you need too) they are the same color and it doesn't matter where they go but try to put them back the same and unscrewed the four screws and this is where you need a 2 or 2.5 inch phillips screwdriver. Pull the top of the back towards you and it will lift off the bottom, this is a front loader and has the base and it will come away from the vent and pull off the two brackets holding the base, there is three screws in the middle of the back but don't worry about anything falling when you take them out. The front loading washer which uses a lot less water but does not get the clothes as clean and if the seal is not cleaned at least once a week it and the front door left open it will turn black and so being the same brand it lasted about 6 to 7 years and the 90+ dollar drain pump that is in the front of the washer is not big enough to pump the water from the front to the back and then straight up the washer with small plastic fins, things are being made to not last as long but I just got another top loading washer this time and this one has been in a storage building for about 2 years, so my advice unless you have a lot of money for repairs stay away from the front loaders.

Dry would not heat
Used YouTube video:The limiter that failed was not in the same position as in the video but could be easily accessed (easier than in the video) after removing the dryer top panel. I used the electrical tape to keep the screws holding the limiter on the screwdriver when installing the new part.
