Product Description

This dryer high-limit thermostat is a safety component that helps protect the appliance from overheating by cutting power to the heating element when temperatures rise beyond safe operating limits. Built with a durable housing and equipped with a red manual reset button, it allows the thermostat to be reset after it trips, restoring normal operation once the dryer has cooled. Replacing a faulty thermostat can prevent overheating, reduce fire risk, and extend the life of the dryer. Installation is generally straightforward for DIY repairs—just be sure to disconnect power before accessing and replacing the thermostat.

Dryer lights up when knob set, neither spins nor heats when start is pressed.
Removed the kick plate(3 T20 screws under the bottom edge) , top (Two T20 screws back corners), the control panel section (unclips) and the center section (3 T20's, upper corners and center of panel under kickplate), then slid the front up and unhooked enough plugs to get to the sensor and high limit at the bottom of the front. Removed t he back cover(lots of T20 screws, two types, don't mix them up.) and replaced the limit and sensor there too. In my case, The multimeter said the only limit that was bad was the front, but no reason not to change them all while here.
