My dryer started making a loud squeeking grinding noise when I turn it on which lasts only a few seconds and otherwise sounds normal runing. Only at the begining. Ive looked everywhere in your repair advice and cant find a suggestion. Can you tell me what part(s) you think may be the source of this problem, which I need to purchase and install?
For model number LE8317w2

Grinding , drum flopping , .....Noise !
I won't go into all the details of the repairs .....The videos this company provides are A+++.. Some would say I would have been better off purchasing a New dryer ...LOL if I had to use a appliance repair man for this job ...Probably ...but ...using this site certified parts , and using the easy to follow instruction videos ....It was truly a very easy repair . I spent more time getting everything perfectly clean inside the dryer housing ,and letting the high temp adhesive cure than I did actually installing the parts.I can't recommend this company or the parts more ...Just take your time with removal , cleaning , and installation ....Patience !Excellent ...parts quality , shipping speed , and video installation instructions !!!! My dryer now works and SOUNDS like a new dryer ....Thank you !

Cloths still wet after cycle
Take the front panels off, there's 2 screws at the bottom of each panel. Unplug the wire harness from the back of the motor and remove the belt from the pulleys. Pay close attention to the way that the belt runs. It's a little difficult to put back on so you only want to do it once. Disconnect the water hoses from to pump. Put a towel under it a little water will come out. Unbolt the motor and remove it. I replaced the idle pulley and the belt. The pump must be removed from the motor there are 3 torx screws. The idle pulley has to be removed with snap ring pliers. Replace the belt and reassemble. Again pay close attention how the belt goes on in relation to the pump screws. Put the motor back in the washer. Another set of hands would be helpful when bolting it back in, it's awkward and there's very little room. Put the belt back on the pulleys. It's tricky be patient. Hook the hoses back up and plug in the wire harness. I ran a load just to make sure nothing leaked before I put the front panels back on. Having done it once if I had to do it again it would go much easier.

Noisy dryer from an obvious part(s) failure.
Removed eight ?" screws (8A X 3/8 Hex Washer Head Tapping) starting with two at bottom kick panel, then two at dryer door panel; disconnect electrical connectors to release door panel from dryer body; remove four screws from dryer opening bulkhead to expose drum and blower impeller; remove two screws securing top dryer panel to side panels; reach inside right lower access to release dryer belt from idler wheel; lift top panel a little while pulling out bulky drum. Vacuum the heck out of the inside. Even better, do all this outside and take compressed air to the inside. Because this dryer was 19 years old, all three rollers (drum, idler wheel), guides (2), felts(2), and belt were replaced. The noise was caused by seized rollers but all rubber on rollers and belt was cracking, so best to change such old worn out parts. Don't forget to lube all shafts with oil (plumbers silicone best), then reassemble...js

clothes where getting holes from getting caught on edge of the drum
I took the face off the dryer then removed the drum. Inspected the dryer for broken parts because I already knew the drum glide was damaged that's why my clothes where getting caught on the edge of the drum and getting damaged.I replaced all the parts that I found very easily on the site ,with the picture diagrams that come up to choose parts you need is very simple to see what exact parts you need to replace on your appliances. And my dryer has been working ever since. Thanks
