Product Description

This is a valve plate for your compressor or generator. This part controls the air flow into the pump. When the air is pumped by the piston, it passes through the valve plate and into the compressor tank. The most common sign of a damaged valve is if your pressure is not building up in the tank. The reeds on the valve plate are usually the first thing to wear out. If you notice visible damage on the reeds you will need to replace this part. This valve includes the plate, and the lower gasket. The head gasket is sold individually.

My Dewalt used to hold pressure when turned off and build pressure quickly when running, now it slowly leeks air when turned off and builds pressure much slower. Do I need to replace the valve plate?

Hi Mike, thank you for contacting us. You may need to replace the valve plate, part number FIX10116459, to fix the issue. When air is pumped by the piston, it passes through the valve plate into the compressor tank. There are reeds on the valve plate that will eventually wear out, and the valve plate will need to be replaced. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Pump would only achieved about 75psi. Replaced cylinder, piston seal, tube seal, valve plate and gaskets. Now it will only get up to 100psi not the 150psi to shutoff the motor.
