This is a genuine manufacturer-approved replacement part for various models of Weber grills, to ensure this is compatible with your grill, please see the "Model Cross Reference List" below. The magnet is contained in a plastic housing and is approximately 3"L x 1"W. The Door Magnet ensures that the lid of the grill remains closed, preventing heat from escaping during operation. If your magnets are rusty, damaged, or no longer hold the lid shut, it is time to replace them. To prevent rusting of the magnets, we recommend covering your grill after every use and storing it in a dry environment. Each magnet is sold individually.

Very easy. Hardest part for me was elevating the grill so I could work on it like a human. Take it apart, put it back together. Don't bother ordering magnets or the hardware kit. Bottom panel came with the magnets and I was able to reuse hardware. Read more...

Sourced directly from Weber, this part is an OEM approved replacement part for Weber Genesis, Summit, and Spirit Grills. For full compatibility, please see the "Model Cross Reference List" below. Each Kit includes two hinge bolts and two nuts, which is the hardware needed to replace one door. This part both attaches the Door to the body of the grill and provides the hinge action needed for the door to open smoothly. If your Door Hinge is corroded, cracked, missing, or otherwise damaged, it needs to be replaced. Each hinge bolt measures 1" in length.
