This is a duct felt seal for a dryer. The duct felt seal allows the front-load dryer drum to glide smoothly on the front panel. Your dryer will not function properly if the drum felt seal is compromised. Disconnect power to the dryer before completing this repair. You will need to remove the front of the dryer to gain access to the felt seal. This felt seal may differ in appearance from your original but will function the same as your original. This genuine OEM part is a lint trap housing seal for your dryer. This part is used to form an airtight seal at the back of the dryer drum and the lint duct. The foam seal is approximately 28 inches in length, 1 inch wide, about half an inch thick, and has an adhesive backing. The seal is located between the lint duct and the bulkhead of the dryer. You may need to replace the seal if there is air leaking from the dryer while it is running, which would result in your laundry taking too long to dry.

The upper felt seal for your dryer is attached to the top edge of the drum support area, and is held there by a high temperature adhesive. It creates a seal where the dryer door opens and closes, so that heat remains in the dryer while it tumbles. If your old upper felt seal is coming apart, you notice that hot air is leaking out the dryer door, or your clothes are taking too long to dry, you may need to replace the seal. When you order this part, it comes with the upper felt seal, as well as the required high-temperature adhesive.
