Light switch no longer worked
Turn off and unplug your refrigerator. I used the screwdriver on the left side of the part (where the plug is) and used the putty knife at the same time on the right side to push the spring lock portion of the part in. The part snapped out. I unplugged the left contact from the plug and put it on the new part, then I unplugged the right contact and put it on the new part. I did this so the wires would not go up into the refrigerator and be hard to find. I put the left side of the new part where the plug and contacts are in first then I snapped the right side in place. I plugged the refrigerator back in and it worked perfectly. Just take your time and gently remove and reconnect the new part. The store where I bought my refrigerator wanted $69.95 for a service call plus an hourly charge and part charge. Count on this site for your parts and do it yourself. I ordered the part on Monday, it was delivered on Tuesday around noon and I made the repair that afternoon. Read more...

This genuine OEM part is a door cover for your refrigerator pantry drawer. It helps to maintain the proper temperature and humidity in the drawer by providing a seal when closed. Other names for this part include pantry drawer door or pantry drawer cover. No tools are required to replace this part. Simply release the locking tab and pull out the old cover one end at a time. Insert the new door cover, making sure the holes are properly secured around the hinge pins. The door cover should now open and close easily. To prevent damage to the new door cover, make sure that the snack drawer is fully pushed back into place before closing the cover, so that it can lay flat on the drawer.

endcap drawer lid pin broken and pantry drawer lid clear window (plastic) cracked
Removed old pantry drawer /and plastic lid and glass shelf above as well as the two slide in drawers above(for work room) Used nut driver to remove (2) screws on right side holding drawer slide and (2) screws holdin endcap. carefully removed the piece and worked it loose. It is connected to another piece at the end, just angle it out. Switched the plastic slide piece from old to new and reinstalled side piece with nut driver. This pantry end cap is a genuine OEM replacement part for your refrigerator. Also known as a drawer support, it is used to hold the rails and shelving for your pantry and crisper drawers. This specific piece is for the left-hand side, as if you are facing the fridge. For this repair you will need a quarter-inch nut driver in order to remove the slide rails and the hex screws that hold the end cap to the refrigerator wall. There are two rear slots and one front tab that the new shelf needs to engage with for installation, then the hex screws can be put back in place with the nut driver.
