If the large surface burner on your range will not heat up, you may need to replace the switch. This genuine OEM switch is used to control the temperature of the large 8-inch burner, along with turning it on and off. Please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your range before beginning this repair, as you will be working with electrical components. When replacing the switch, the electrical harness features slip-on terminals for easy installation and connections to the switch. You should examine the terminals for signs of arcing or corrosion. If these signs are present, the terminals will need to be replaced as well. The shaft for the burner knob may be longer than the switch you just removed, but you will be able to remove the excess length by using a pair of pliers. If you also need to replace the knob used to turn the switch, it can be purchased separately.

This dual surface element control switch is an OEM replacement part for select ranges. It controls the surface element, allowing you to turn it on or off and adjust the heat level. If your surface element is malfunctioning or not responding to adjustments, replacing the control switch can resolve the issue. To install the new switch, unplug the range or turn off the house circuit breaker to ensure safety. The switch is typically located behind the front control panel of the stove. Remove the panel and disconnect the old switch from its wiring connections. Install the new switch by securing it in place and reconnecting the wiring. This switch helps you control the heat on your cooktop with ease. Whether you?re simmering soup or boiling water, it lets you adjust the temperature smoothly. It?s made for burners with two heating zones, so you can use just the inner ring or both for more power. If your burner isn?t heating properly or won?t adjust, replacing this switch could solve the problem. Installation usually involves opening the control panel and swapping out the old part.
