Water Inlet Valve When energized, the water inlet valve will release water from the supply line into the ice mold and the water dispenser in the refrigerator. If the ice maker is not making or dispensing ice, not dispensing water, or leaking, you may need to replace the water inlet valve. The water inlet valve is in the back section of your refrigerator and will need to be pulled out from the wall. Make sure to disconnect both the water and power supply before starting your repair.

This single outlet valve has 1/4 inch compression fittings, and is intended for use with refrigerators that have ice makers that make crescent shaped ice cubes. NOTE: As per the manufacturer this valve has new quick connection. You must cut retaining nut off of the current plastic water line and gently push it into new valve. To remove, depress ring that the tube slides into.

The water inlet valve is a solenoid-operated switch located at the bottom of the refrigerator. When it is energized by electrical power, water is released from the supply line through the water valve and into the compact icemaker mold. ***Please NOTE: This part has been redesigned and may appear different than the original. It has a new quick connection. To install: cut the retaining nut off the existing water line and gently push into new valve. To remove: depress the ring that the tube slides into.

Secondary Water Inlet Valve *Please note, this part is a substitute from the original. The valve is a new quick connect. No nuts or connectors are needed, just cut the old nuts off of the tubing and gently push them into the valve.
