This genuine OEM part is a radiant flame sensor for your gas dryer. It is used to determine when the temperature of the igniter is hot enough to ignite the gas. Once the igniter is hot enough, it allows the valve to open to release the gas. This acts as a safety mechanism which prevents dangerous levels of gas from building up. If your dryer will not start, is not producing enough heat, not heating up at all, is taking too long to dry laundry, or is shutting off too soon, you may need to replace the radiant flame sensor. Please be sure to disconnect the power and gas supply to your dryer before beginning this repair.

Oor dryer would not get hot.
I opened the bottom section and watched as the igniter got red hot as it should but the gas valve did not open. I wired around the sensor and the gas valve opened and the fuel ignited. VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT RUN YOUR DRYER IN THIS STATE: IT WILL BLOW UP!! I did a VERY short test, then ordered the new sensor. Just one screw holds the sensor (as shown in the Parts video). One screw out, new sensor, one screw in and our dryer is back in full and proper running order. Read more...

This dryer lint filter is a critical component designed to trap lint and debris from the exhaust air during drying cycles. Positioned within the lint trap housing, it helps maintain proper airflow, reduce drying time, and prevent lint buildup inside the dryer and exhaust duct. A clean and functional lint filter supports efficient drying performance and minimizes the risk of overheating or fire hazards. Common symptoms of a worn or clogged filter include extended drying times, lint on clothing, and incomplete drying. Replacement is straightforward and typically involves sliding the old filter out and inserting the new one into the designated slot. Regular maintenance and timely replacement help ensure safe and effective dryer operation.

dryer quit working during operation and failed to restart
resistor is located on top back of dryer, so just removed metal plate on back with screwdriver. other parts are located above drum, and top of dryer is hinged, so lifted top of dryer by taking small screwdriver and wedged between front and top of dryer enough to get fingers underneath top and lifted. very simple. door switch and high limit switch could be viewed and removed at this point. This OEM kit comes with two ignition coils (one three-terminal boost/hold coil, and one two-terminal secondary coil). Usually only one of them burns out, but you should replace them as a set as both have to be operational for the gas valve to open. The primary purpose of the part is to open the gas valve and allow the gas to enter the burner. This is a safety mechanism to make sure that there is never an unsafe buildup of gas inside the appliance. You will find the coils attached to the dryer gas valve. This is not an uncommon repair; it can fail due to normal material fatigue over time. To test your current parts, watch the burner, and if the igniter glows for a while and then shuts off without the gas is igniting, it usually means one of these coils is bad.

Dryer ran but did not dry clothing.
Best site I have ever used for repairs. First a list of what parts were needed was provided right from the start, no guessing. I followed all of the video's provided for installation instructions and and that was it. Very easy to make repairs and almost rebuilt my dated dryer to like new condition. Appliance was in very good physical condition just needed new components to bring it back. Highly recommend this site to anyone who can turn a wrench. Read more...

This multi rib belt is an OEM replacement part for a dryer. It attaches to the drum, idler pulley, and motor pulley, and is responsible for spinning the drum. Over time, the belt can become frayed, brittle, and inflexible. If you can hear the motor running, but the drum does not turn, it is likely that the belt is broken. Other symptoms of a broken multi rib belt include unusual noises, failing to start, no heat, a burning smell, and an unresponsive touchpad. Depending on the model, you will find the belt by looking behind the front panel or under the main top of the dryer. This belt is 1/4-inches wide, has a length of 92-1/4-inches, and has four ridges and three groves on the belt. Each belt is sold separately.

Dryer plastic door catch was broke on dryer
I watched several videos on how to replace the latch, but my latch was broken on one side so I took a pair of pliers and a screwdriver and pried the old one out. Push the new one in, then replaced the male catch on the door. i didn't tighten the screw holding the male latch because they use it to allign the latch with the catch. Read more...

Dryer leaving rust streaks on white laundry
The video was exactly right for installing the upper drum glide. Getting the front off of the machine took less than 5 minutes. The old glide and felt peeled off easily. I used a putty knife and a file rasp to remove the old glue. Used denatured alcohol to wipe away any residual dust and pieces of glue. Applied the glue in two parallel lines where the new glides and pad install. Waited about a minute for the glue to get tacky, then placed new part on the upper door opening. To hold it down, I used an adjustable 1.5 inch wide nylon tie down strap around the entire circumference of the door opening and ratcheted it down tight for overnight. Next morning took off the strap and repair was tight. If you are going to replace the upper glide, go ahead and do the lower seal as well. If the upper is worn out, the lower will be worn out of shape and won't seal right with a new one only on the top. Repair time 30 minutes from open to close, with 12 hours glue drying time in between. Read more...

Ensure your dryer performs at its best with this 4750-watt, 240-volt heating element kit. It’s responsible for producing the heat needed to dry laundry effectively. Common signs of a failing element include extended drying times or no heat during operation. To replace, unplug the dryer and use a putty knife, quarter-inch nut driver, and needle nose pliers. This part is sold individually and does not come with extra components.
