Connector Assembly

Fix Number FIX3524406
Manufacturer Part Number 4933DD3001B
If the door to your dishwasher drops suddenly when opening, there may be an issue with your connector assembly. It works by connecting the door hinge to the door spring, which applies tension and prevents the door from dropping quickly. To replace this part, you will need to pull the dishwasher out from under the cabinet in order to access the spring. This part is sold individually, but you may want to consider replacing both the right and left-hand side connector assemblies, as they can wear at similar rates. This genuine OEM part has a black plastic portion on each end of a white rope that measures approximately 12-inches in length.

Door spring not working, door dropped down too fast and was way too heavy to lift easily.
Found a diagram of the door hardware and determined it had to either be a broken door spring or a door spring connector. It was the door spring connector.its the piece that goes from the door spring around the pulley to the connector mounting on the bottom of the door.to get at it you have to1. Take the two Phillip's head screws out of the washer about 2/3. The way up the frame that help hold the water in place.they are inside and very close to the front when the door is opened. Step 2. Pull the washer out of its enclosed area of the kitchen cabinet about 8 inches. That will expose the door springs, the door spring connectors on both sides of the door and the pullies that the connector are supposed to wrap around. The connectors are nylon line with plastic fittings on each end. These are what usually break (as in my case). I replaced both because one was broken and one was worn. Both the springs were fine.i replaced the connectors, pushed the washer back in to its original position, replaced the two side mounting screws. Job done, no problems, door now works fine. Total labor time, about 30 minutes. Only tools required are 1 screw driver and a pair of pliers to pull the spring down when attaching the new connectors. Read more...

ROLLER ASSEMBLY
Fix Number FIX12075858
Manufacturer Part Number 4581DD3003C
The dishwasher roller assembly connects to the dishrack, and is located in the lower level of the dishwasher. It allows the dishrack to easily slide in and out. If the lower rack keeps falling off the track in your dishwasher, makes noises, the door will not close, or the dishes are not getting clean, then it is best to replace it for more security. A flat blade screw driver is the only tool needed for this installation. Open the lower dishwasher rack and remove retaining tabs from both ends of the rack and slide it out. Locate the older roll assembly, remove it and replace the rollers. Remember to put the tabs on each side back before sliding it back in. Make sure the dishwasher is off before starting this installation project.

Fix Number FIX3523050
Manufacturer Part Number 4581DD3002A
This is a roller and axle, which mounts to the dishwasher rack (sold independently). It is gray in color, made of plastic, and measures approximately an inch in diameter, with the axle making it roughly 1-1/2 inches wide. For this simple DIY repair, pull the rack out of the dishwasher while pulling it upward. Pull off the old roller. Line up the new roller on the rack and snap it into place. Place the dishrack back into place, making sure it moves smoothly in and out.

Drain split at back of unit and started leaking
I shut off the water supply and the power. removed lower panel and disconnected the electrical and water supply. Unscrewed under counter support brackets and pulled dishwasher out from counter. Tipped unit on right side (placed on foam pad) unscrewed bottom panel and left side panel. detached old hose from pump with adjustable pliers and removed hose bracket from back panel just squeeze ends together and it comes out. Attached new hose to pump with squeeze fitting and had to plug short black hose that came with the new hose that would not fit anywhere on my unit (must be for newer models). Then just reconnected everything in reverse and pushed unit back under counter and reconnected water and electrical. Then connected the new drain hose to the drain with ring clamp (not supplied) and turn the water and electricity back on and ran a test load (all was good). reinstalled the bottom panel.
