SFF1002CSA0 Whirlpool Washer - Instructions

In a matter of moments the dryer that I had grown to despise was back on my good list! I took a pair of pliers and removed the old parts, then inserted the new catch kit. I only about 5 minutes to do AND I love my dryer again!

I removed the old door catch by using a screwdriver to pry it out, then I popped the new door catch in its place and it snapped right in. It took less than 5 minutes to do the whole job.

Reviewed the video showing how to remove the bad-order part and install the new part. No problem. Installing the new part was exactly what was shown in the video on the web page.

I pulled the old latch out of the catch and installed a new one. It just popped into place. The job could not have been easier.

in less than 3 minutes... YEAH... I am happy!

Per your internet site instructions, I replaced the part in a few seconds (just popped it into the slot) and my wife had a working dryer for her Sunday wash. I would have been out $55 and 4 to 7 days waiting for a service call if I had used my home warranty service contractor. Using your service, the part(s) and shipping were just over $12.

Removed the lower front cover of the dryer. Removed the lint filter and removed the cover from the air duct by removing two 1/4" bolts. Removed the two 1/4" bolts retaining the thermistor. Installed the new thermistor and covers.

Snapped latch into existing hole in 2 seconds. The pin that goes into latch was still intact. That's it ,real simple. The only problem I will hopefully not have in the future is the the mico-switch which is just hanging in there, the switch works but the lever that extends out from the face, that works with the door is partially broken off and the switch is no longer available on your parts list. The appliance is twenty-one years old. I am very happy with your service and I received the parts the next day, after I ordered them and I will be buying more parts in the months to come. This time it will be for my Kenmore gas stove and then a Kenmore refrigerator door hinge.

For 2 years, I propped a broom stick against my dryer door to keep it shut while it was running. Last Sunday night, I decided that it was about time to fix it. I didn't have to remove the entire door...I just removed the screws with the door open, used a needle nose plier to remove the plastic insert..stuck the new one in. Then I replaced the metal portion by popping it out and inserting the new one. Easy

Step 1: remove new latch from bag in which part comes. Step 2: push latch into hole where the other latch was. Step 3: enjoy having a dryer you dont have to hold closed with a folding chair.

I watched the online video first, which made the removal and installation fast and easy.
