WFW9450WR00 Whirlpool Washer - Instructions

Removed back panel,unscrewed the nut on the pulley.Removed pulley and belt. Reassembled.

Turn of the electrical power to the machine. I took off the cover on the machine below the door. You had to use phillips screwdriver to get the three screws out. In order to replace the pump I had to lift the washing machine about three inches up slightly over to one side (needed a strong person to lift as there was a dryer on top of it). The old pump has to be removed with a nutdriver as there are two nuts holding the pump in place under the machine ( I had to run out to the hardware store to buy a smaller one to fit under the machine as the big wrench was to big to fit under the machine). I unplugged the electrical connection to the pump. I unclamped the hoses attached to the pump using a plier, make sure you have something to hold water that will drain from the hose. I then push/pull the old pump to the right out of its place, it is attached to the metal at the bottom of the machine. I put in the new pump and tighten the screws on the bottom (this is the tricky part as you cannot see - a mirror may help). I also reattached the hoses and electrical connection. I turned on the machine to rinse to make sure there were no leaks before putting back the cover. Before throwing out the old pump, you can shake it and look in the opening of the old pump for any valuables left in pockets that may have washed out. I found a 18k bracelet, 25 cents and a small screw which may have caused the hole in the pump . Good luck :)

This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.

The water pump housing was leaking due to some pre-existing damage and leaking on the floor. The repairman wanted 60.00 just to show up. I purchased a replacement pump from PartsSelect.com and installed it myself by taking off the bottom front panel (two screws on the bottom and unclamping the two hoses from the pump and the two screws holding the pump to the frame and then unsnapping the wiring coupler from the old pump. I pulled the old pump out through the front of the machine. I then installed the new pump and replaced the front cover. I saved myself a lot of money and everything went smoothly! The machine works great.

Open the bottom screws (hex-screw driver. remove riongs with pliers. use pan to remove excess water remained in pipes. pull to the right and remove. easier than it seems,

I first had to take off the back and the top to get to the pulley and the belt. The pulley had woobled so much that it had worn out the center nad it would no longer hold to the post in the tub. It also had cut into the back of the tub about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch. I unscrewed the nut holding the pulley and removed it. I then took a knife and trimmed the rough edges off the back of the tub to make it smooth. I then smoothed out the end of the post that the pulley fits on so the new pulley would fit. I tightned the nut and put the belt on the motor drive shaft and Used a robo grip to hold the belt as I turned it onto the pulley. I but the back and top back on and that was it.

I romoved the front of the washer access panel. I then used the pliers to remove the clamps from the old hose and to replaceit with the new one.

First step was to remove old bellow. I opened the door there is a small wire with a spring attach that holds the outside of the bellow to thw washer. Then removed it from the water inlet, then took a short straight scewdriver to remove the gaint hose clamp holding it to the drum. Installed the new part. When putting hose clamp back on I removed the top of the washer by removing the three screws in the back then I flipped the hose clamp so I could use a long screwdiver from the top side.This will give you alot more room. Hope this helps

Removed bottom panel, removed hoses and pump. Reinstalled in reverse order.

Turned water supply off ,took the top of washing machine off, took water valve out installed new 1unit worked ok

Overall, the install was easy.
Just a matter of getting yourself to get it done.
The video on the removal / install procedures was most helpful.
The front shocks were completed very quickly. The rear shock required all hoses to be disconnected and the back of the washer to be removed. After removing perhaps a dozen screws the cover was still fastened. You will see (in my case) 4 plastic flat clips. after they were removed the back came off. The rest of the project was the same as the front shocks. 1st time thru so to be expected.
Anyway, certainly a project that any DIYer can tackle.

Removed washer door from washer. Lay door on work bench (table). You need to remove screws from around most of the washer door to remove broken hinge. Install hinge into door frame. Fasten all screws for hinge and door frame. Reinstall complete door assembly onto washer with removed screws. Helpful to have some hold door for ease of alignment. Tools used: 1/4 inch torque #15 bit with 1/4inch nut driver.

Removed the old pump and installed the new one. Most difficulty came from the fact that the dryer is on top of the washer and the washer is inside a plastic pan that has a 2 inch lip which made it difficult to remover the front panel.
