Washer will not cut off or drain
For model number MVWB850YG1
Hello Margie, thank you for contacting us. We would recommend checking the drain hoses and making sure these are not blocked or kinked. Also, make sure the drain pipe is at an adequate height. The drainpipe (standpipe) height requirements are 96" (244 cm) maximum and 39" (99 cm) minimum. Also, check the drain pump, part number FIX11754310, and the water inlet valve, part number FIX11731257. Please ensure that these parts are working. If not, replacing them can solve the problem. Removed a cap in the center of the tub basket which has a bolt that needs removed I believe it's a 9/16 after I removed the bolt I then removed the center of the bottom of the basket assembly which then allowed me to get to the basket hub that needed replaced it was a little dirty and I couldn't get it out so I sprayed a little penitratin
... Read moreg oil on it let it sit a little then I was able to remove the hub and install the new one then I put it all back together and the washer is working great
3rd time replacing this part. The plastic grooves against the metal get wore down. Only 20$ to repair ! Take off the 3/8 bolt - center pops out. Remove screws pop out old piece and tighten new piece each side evenly.
