Agitator won't move, belt wore out after 24 years.
Removed 2 Philip screws from bottom front panel. The belts came as a set, so pay attention to the belt sizes when replacing them. Have had the new belts installed now for a week or longer with no issues. Looks like a good fix.

I had a Burning Rubber smell, along with water leaking from the bottom of machine.
I propped up the machine. Turned the water off .took the pump belt off, then took the two hose clamps off. With a bucket and towels on hand for left over water in the hoses, i removed the two hoses. Then removed three screws that held the pump on. Installed the new pump in reverse order.

Water leak due to split in 35 year old hose.
Replaced hose. Really appreciate Instructions, especially from other customers. Only thing I didn't have was new hose clamps, since this Maytag washer is 35 years old! (Love it! Works great!) Old hose clamps were absolutely rusted beyond any possible recovery, so I had a little trouble getting them off until I sprayed them with penetrating oil. Buying local clamps not a problem.

Plastic Fill injector broke. Water was leaking.
Used the Butter knife to push in the clips on the front panel of the washing machine. Remove the two screws from the top. Remove the metal plate on the back. Lifted up the top and unscrewed the old Fill Injector and removed hose. Connected new Fill Injector to hose with new hose clamp. Attached Fill injector with screw to top of washer lid. Replaced all screws. Checked for leaks. Good to go!

We had a freeze at our Cabin and not only did 9 pipes break, the inlet valve on the washer froze. Not good
I was happy to find out that all I had to do was pull a few nuts, disconect the wires and hose and put the new one back in. Really simple and only took a few minutes.

water leaking from tub to pump hose
Drain tub of all water. Unplug washer power cord from outlet. Remove the rear compartment cover at base of washer then using pliers(channel locks) slide the compression retaining rings off the top and bottom of hose. Replace with new hose and hose clamps, Tighten hose clamps in place until snug, being careful not to overtighten because the tub outlet and pump inlet are plastic!
Pour water into tub to check for leaks. Install rear cover and drain hose.
