Following The Instructions Of The Repair Manuel,
First I removed the retainer ring and then pulled back enough of the boot to get the door switch out and plugged in the new switch put the retainer ring back on and it was finished. With out the repair book I would have been lost on how to do the job.

Door latch would not lock
Removed 2 screws from rear of top that hold top of washer in place, lifted top at the rear and slid it back then lifted it off. Removed the three wiring harnesses from old switch, removed the three screws holding switch in place, theses are accessed from the door opening. removed the two lower screws first and held the switch from the top while removing the last screw. door would not latch , and lights on front just flashed
1)I removed the bottom front panel, reached up the right side of the machine and pulled the manual release on the bottom of the latching mechanism.2)I then removed the top to the machine in order to gain access to the latch. 3)I removed three electrical connectors then the three mounting screws using a #15 Torx driver. I then reversed the reverse procedure to install the new latch. total time to do the job was less than half an hour. Machine works OK.

Washing machine wouldn't run. Kept making buzzing sound and didn't show door latched.
Removed the 3 screws that hold the bottom front panel in place. Removed the 3 screws that hold the door latch in place and pulled out on the bottom of the door which wasn't very much and slid the door latch out to get to the wire connections. Connected the wires to the new latch and pulled out bottom again and put the latch back into place and put the 3 screws back in. Note: make sure you unplug the washer so you don't have a chance to get shocked. Level of difficulty was pretty easy.

Door hard to close. Door lever split
Replaced door lever (PS11741552) and door lock latch (PS11745016).
Initially I tried to replaced just the obviously broken (split) door lever, but then door would not close at all. Lever is as simple as it gets, so the problem was apparently the door lock latch.
After watching video (on this site) that shows it was fairly easy to access and install a new door lock latch (2 screws in back, 8 screws in front), I ordered a new door lock latch.
Took about 35 minutes to install new lever and latch.
Works perfectly now. I hope to get a few more years out of this machine.

Both door latch parts broke, one on the door and the other on the washer.
When I looked at the website for latch repair they showed a video (can't remember which brand but not Amana) where you had to take off the top and front of the washer to get at the latch part on the washer. For the Amana I had, you simply had to pull out a portion of the rubber gasket held onto the washer by a wire/spring combination (you can take the wire off) to get at the latch assembly. You could then undo the three screws holding the latch to the washer, pull it out and unplug the three wiring connections to remove the old latch. Then plug connections into the new latch, reinstall, tighten screws and fit gasket and wire/spring assembly back together. Much easier than going thru the top and front of the washer!

Door latch broken. Needed a small plastic part.
I am super excited that partselect.com asked me to do this review.
1-Order part on website, validate that everything is correct. It was. PS11741552
2-Part received is going to be a small box of screws instead of your vastly overpriced plastic door latch. This will happen your first time ordering, it is normal.
3-Item refunded through customer service and a new item sent out.
4-At this point you will need to do laundry, my recommendation here is to put you back against the door, maybe read a book and have a drink for the half hour it takes for a cycle. Nobody with a washer wants to hang out with the unwashed masses at the laundromat.
5-Receive another box of screws. It this point you will now believe that the screws are a metaphor for how partselect feels about customer service.
6-Contact customer service again, get another refund. At this point partselect will just give up and tell you to order the parts from the manufacturer. Once again by the picture on the site and the confirmation, you have order the correct part.
7-Total time here is over a week to 2 because the parts move slowly.
8-Order part on literally any other site.
9-When you get it unscrew the 2 screws from the broken part. Replace with the new part and screw the 2 screws back on.
Fixed!!

Close quaters to work on
I had to pull the washer out from the wall. SInce it is in front of the door going out into the garage made it dificult getting tools. I had to lay on my side doubled up in order toget to the hose. I used a bit extention so that I could get the clamp loose. Cut the time in half by using a drill with a phillips head screw bit. The only real hard part was getting the new one up tight on the drain. Used a heavy duty screw driver to push it up so the clamp would bite.

OE error. All i read indicated the need for new sensor, but it did not correct the problem.
My husband simply removed the old sensor and put the new one in. It was not difficult.
