w/d repeatedly fills with water during warm or hot loads
E. Z. hardest part (which isn't hard) was moving the appliance to reach the back, then putting the appliance back into place. the actual repair (swapping out valve) took less time than that to do.

The pump filter leaked after cleaning it out. Would work with teflon tape, but wanted to see if a new part would eliminate the need to wrap it every time.
Unscrewed the old part; screwed in the new part and said a quick prayer - LOL!
The part worked great, but I wanted to mention how quickly I received the part!
I would definitely order from this company again!

Lower Balance Weight Broken Concrete Internals
The web interface is nice, however in this situation it references the wrong part which was not known until the item arrived. Customer Service handled return, however I had to call LG directly to confirm correct part number (LG p/n 4866ER0004A = p/n PS3524040) but this was only after LG also gave wrong p/n. When replacement part arrived the internal concrete had a crack in it. The part is basically a plastic shell that is filled with concrete. However the opening (about 1 x 4) is left open and with the concrete having a crack in it the piece will vibrate together and continue to break down over time (which is what happened to the original one) Before installing I chose to fill opening with epoxy and a plastic layer, then covered with electrical tape to seal it in. I feel this item is poorly designed from LG. Additionally this item was poorly packaged by PS when shipping which caused the damage (it weights about 15 lbs and was allowed to float around in a large over-sized box filled with large air pillows). I have photos but no way to upload here.

leak from bottom front left.
Disconnect washer - pull out and turn on it's right side. Remove bottom plate (2 screws). Water intake valve is attached to water line. Disconnect water line. On the other end of the pump is a rubber hose. Disconnect hose by using a pair of pliers to open pipe clamp. Disconnect the electric line by pulling the pronged plug out of the pump. The part is composed of the pump and a metal mounting plate. They are connected by 4 screws. Remove the screws and pull out the back half of the pump. The front of the pump is attached to the washer frame by 2 screws. When removed you will notice an o-ring that forms the seal between the two halves. Remember this when installing the new pump. You will have to take the new pump apart because the whole part will not fit through the frame opening, thus the need to make sure the o-ring is properly seated. You can either install the mounting plate to the frame then attach the pump half or with half of the part in front of the frame and the other half behind the frame connect the two, then attach it to the frame. Reconnect incoming water line using teflon tape and a crescent wrench. Reconnect out-flow line with the pipe clamp and attach the power line. Since you have to take the new pump apart make sure the o-ring is properly seated as it will have a tendency to fall out. Reassemble the rest.

Water was slowly filling up in washer tub, after I would wash clothes 2 or 3 days later there would be water standing in the washing machine.
I looked this problem up on YouTube like I do with everything, I saw a video from this site.. so I ordered what I needed from the website. The parts came in I unpluged the washer from the wall very important, I literally removed 6 Philips head screws and unclipped the wires from the parts and removed the hoses with the pliers, hoses have squeeze clamps. Put in New parts put hoses back on wiring back on and I was done.. it took me a total of maybe 10 minutes.. NO MORE WATER standing in the washer.. Thank you!! I would recommend you add a video for the Inlet Valve Assembly like you have for the hot inlet valve though...

Making noise on the spin cycle
Disassembled washer, replaced bearings, seals and gasket. Watched instructional video to familiarize myself with the repair. Followed all steps as recommended, repair was straight forward without any surprises. Hardest part was removing the drum from the machine, somewhat heavy. Disassembled and replaced all bearings, seals, spider and gasket. Reinstalled in reverse order. Note: Upon tear down, I found the seal was pushed out, causing the bearing failure. I also found that the seal was installed incorrectly from LG. They have the seal lip facing the bearings, should be facing the water. This repair seems to be difficult, but was fairly self explanatory. All plug ins are color coded, all hoses are accessible with little effort. If you have basic skills you should be able to handle this repair.

Leaking hose
2 hose clamps and a hose, easy! This would be a very common cause of leaks in washers due to all the movement inside.

Leak in top washer hose
Super straightforward to diagnose and repair.
There was puddle under the washer.
I removed the top (screws in rear, slide top toward rear slightly and lift) and followed the trail of water up to the top washer hose between the drum and detergent tray.
Two hose clamps to remove and replace, then replace the top and ready to go.

Washing machine stopped purging water from drum to hose
Do not pay a service company to come to your house to make this fix!!! If you have common sense, simple tools, a phone camera and some mini zip ties you can do this!
After watching a couple YouTube videos on installing a new motor I had the confidence to start the job. My biggest worry was I'd forget where a screw/part went so I took a lot of pictures as I disassembled. I also laid all the parts out on a table reflective of where they belonged on the machine. I learned washers aren't rocket science - YOU CAN DO THIS. The most difficult part of the fix was my washer was a different model so much of the caging was completely different than YouTube disassembly, but once I got into the machine it was fairly identical. Easily popped out the old, broken motor and inserted the new LG certified part. Reassembled in 1/2 the time of disassembly and my machine works like new:) Hoping to get another 10+ years out of this washer.
Thanks PartsSelect for the high quality certified LG part. Very nice quality and weight.
