1106305752 Kenmore Washer - Instructions

I thought it might be a damaged switch but when I removed it I noticed a metal clip that was attached to it was broken. The pin on the door pushes against this clip when the door is closed which in turn opens the circuit on the switch. I looked up the model on this website and viewed the parts diagram. There I saw the part I needed and it was listed below along with the cost. Couldn't of been easier. Thanks!

1) Using a Phillips head screwdriver, the two screws retaining the hinge pin to the lid were removed. 2) Remove hinge pin and tilt lid slightly to gain access to bushing hole. 3)Install new bushing in hole. 4)Reposition lid. Insert hinge pin through lid and into bushing. 5)Reinstall hinge pin retaining screws and tighten.

Located broken front door safety switch actuator. Ordered new part shown on the diagram. Removed broken part, installed new part, start dryer,runs fine.

My wife did the repair. Went on your website and watch the video on how to replace the switch and she was able to do it herself. I didn't mind at all. Saved $75.00 service charge.

removed 4 screws. 2 in the back and 2 at the lint screen door. Remove top lid of dryer and looked down and there was the door switch with the broken actuator spring. A diagram of the dryer with part locations is very helpful. I checked the switch with volt meter to make sure it was ok. It was ok! Replace the actuator and put every thing back together and dryer works just fine. Thanks to PartSelect I was able to buy the actuator spring buy itself and not have to buy the switch also.

I am one Happy Gal.....Looked to fix,thought about just buying a new dryer..In the end talked to the local repair guy...said I could do it myself. (why pay him)..I live in small town.Ordered your part,watched the video and did it...Saved myself over $500, plus the $125 for delivery.for that new dryer..(Small town in the forest!)Very easy to install....Hope to use this dryer for many months perhaps years..It is 30 years old! two screws on filter housing and then lift dryer to up like the hood of a car the two screws on actuator, be careful not to drop actuator, if you do use a magnet to retrieve, two screws back in then wire clip top of dryer down and two screws back into filter housing and your ready to dry clothes, not recommended but if you have to dry clothes while waiting for part a clamp on the switch will allow you to use dryer, but be extremely careful because dryer will not turn off when door is opened

I'm a 66 year old lady with no repair experience at all!! I found the part I needed on Parts Select, which I ordered and received in less than 4 days. I watched the video that you've posted on your website which shows in great detail how to do this repair. It looked like a simple fix and it was!! I highly reccomend Parts Select!! Took my granddaughter(held flashlight) and myself less than 30 minutes to do the repair!!!

Had a lot of corrosion on the shaft area and had a hard time removing the inner tub but after some WD-40 and unprintable words and labor it popped off. Cleaned everything up, shaft, inner drum and outer drum. After that everything was a piece of cake. Thanks for the help!

I found on youtube that there are directions to repair. Dryer problems are usually one of three things, the door switch being one of them. i checked this last (should have been first). ordered the part( about 65% off sear's cost) and it came in one day! It went on really easy as long as you knew from repair video how to access inside. almost spent $400.00 on a new one.
