This spanner nut secures the inner tub to the drive block in large-capacity washers. With a right-hand thread, it prevents movement and vibration during operation. Replace if worn or loose for proper performance.

The timer (60 Hz) controls most of the operations of the washer: water level, tub filling and emptying, length of cycles, and cycle setting sequences.

This part is able to sense the water level in the tub. When the water reaches the desired level, this switch stops the water from flowing in the tub and the washing program begins.
