Very easy to repair remove top of dryer and took out to screws and put switch back in place replaced screws and put top back on. Easy!!

Took top of d then dryer loose then replaced switch actuator put dryer top back in place. Not that hard.

I first noticed that the tab of the door switch snapped off so the safety on/off switch did not work when the door was closed. I temporarily taped the switch closed so I could use the dryer. I found the model number from the unit and easily found the schematic and part description from the website. I placed the order and had the part in a few days. Problem solved. Thank you

Ordered lower dishrack PS2099930 (FSP 99002572). My old rack had permanent tines in 3 quadrants & foldaway tines in right rear. New rack (which came w/wheels) had permanent tines only in front 2 quadrants, plus 2 loose long tine rows (later ID'd as PS2099527, Front Fold-Away Tine, and PS2099528, Rear Fold-Away Tine). Ordered PS2097246 (Rear Rack Bowl Tine Row) to replace my existing rusty tines, but "on order" really meant "not available anywhere." Watched installation video for PS2099037 (Fold Away Tine Clip) which clearly matches the loose tine rows that came with rack, but was problematic since my center spindle is permanently mounted on floor of cabinet, not on the rack. Fold-Away Tines could be cut off, but they would start rusting immediately. Ordered 4 PS343939 (Tine Row for upper dishrack) and 4 PS2099037 (FSP 99001436 Fold Away Tine Clip), hoping that these tine rows would clear the spindle. They work ok, but do graze the spindle slightly. Undecided whether I will tolerate the consequent floppiness of the tines, or permanently lock into place using nylon cable ties. Actual installation easy, with no extra tools, once I acquired parts that fit.

I noticed that the dryer door switch actuator spring/lever was broken on the door. I researched how to get the top of the dryer cover off, and I took apart the mechanism. I called a local repair shop and they wanted me to buy the whole unit instead of just the switch lever. So I did some research to find the part on the web, and I came across your site. It was very easy to navigate, and I fould the part easily. I saved about 66% by just ordering the lever and not the whole unit. I would without hesitation, buy parts from your website again. Replaced actuator switch lever. Exact replacement. Worked like a charm.

I followed the basic steps in the video for the dryer door switch replacement. My dryer is much older but everything in the video was basically the same. It was a very easy repair. I have kept this dryer running for 26 of the 27 years of our marriage.

Removed the broken actuator and replaced with the new one. The time to replace the dryer door switch actuator took about 5 minutes.By the way, I purchased the dryer in 1965 and it works as if it was brand new. Thank you Kenmore for a lifetime dryer.

1)Shut off power supply to dryer. 2)Removed lint filter. 3)Removed two screws that secure filter duct to dryer top. 4)Lifted front of top to gain access to door switch. 5)Removed two switch mounting screws. 6)Removed the two power leads. 7)Reconnected power leads to new switch using "Normally Closed" terminal on switch. 8)Reversed the previous procedures to complete repair.

I just remove two screws slip the old off and slip the new one on replace the two screws back put top of dry back in place replace two screws from dry lint trap

I'm a 66 year old lady with no repair experience at all!! I found the part I needed on Parts Select, which I ordered and received in less than 4 days. I watched the video that you've posted on your website which shows in great detail how to do this repair. It looked like a simple fix and it was!! I highly reccomend Parts Select!! Took my granddaughter(held flashlight) and myself less than 30 minutes to do the repair!!!

two screws on filter housing and then lift dryer to up like the hood of a car the two screws on actuator, be careful not to drop actuator, if you do use a magnet to retrieve, two screws back in then wire clip top of dryer down and two screws back into filter housing and your ready to dry clothes, not recommended but if you have to dry clothes while waiting for part a clamp on the switch will allow you to use dryer, but be extremely careful because dryer will not turn off when door is opened

I am one Happy Gal.....Looked to fix,thought about just buying a new dryer..In the end talked to the local repair guy...said I could do it myself. (why pay him)..I live in small town.Ordered your part,watched the video and did it...Saved myself over $500, plus the $125 for delivery.for that new dryer..(Small town in the forest!)Very easy to install....Hope to use this dryer for many months perhaps years..It is 30 years old!
