VWSR4150DAWW Hotpoint Washer - Instructions

1. Remove agitator with a quick upward jolt.
2. Remove bolt with ratchet or wrench.
3. Remove agitator coupling.
4. Install new coupling, tighten new bolt and slide agitator down until it latches after aligning appropriately.

We removed the agitator then the bolt holding couplier. The inside of the plastic couplier had stripped after 5 years. We cleaned around the metal part of the agitator then installed the new GE plastic couplier, put in the bolt & replaced the agitator. The machine works better than ever.

The GE website said this part had to be replaced by a certified technician. The estimated service call alone was $80 & the part was not available from the GE website.

old one out, new one in. new one is seated, but not a perfect match bracket to hold hose in washer does not fit on this replacement hose properly. But I feel comfortable with the result & use

Shut off power, removed both water hoses, detached drain hose, noticed the plastic drain hose was splitting, entered the model number in a web search, ordered part from PartSelect. received part next day and reversed previous process. Tested repair and no leaks.

Very easy with your great instructions in my email. took the wires off,took the hoses off,then the two bolts,put the new one on and reasembled the hoeses wires and bolts. put the front back on and that was that. removed back off washer, disconnected pump from washer tub, remove old pump in about 5 min, then installed new pump in less than 5 min. washer is working just fine wife thank me it was about 2 wks since the washer was down.

Pull front cover and changed pump. Your delivery of this part was remarkable. Thanks for such good service.

Unpluged from out let. the I just took the front off then I took the bolts out of the mounting bracket and the took the hoses off unpluged the plug. We pluged the plug in the new piece put the hoses back on rebolted the braket down put the front on and plug the eletric back in and did the load thank you soo much

I took off the front of the washer with two screw drivers. Removed the hose clamps with the pliers then removed the two screws with the nut driver and changed out the pump. Nothing to it. Easy fix, it works like new for $45 and 15 minutes.

So easy to fix. The best thing about it all was the guidance of the website. We were able to locate the exact part and followed the instructions on how to replace, piece of cake!

My wife calls me and says that the washer is not draining water so I was like "great"...here goes more money. After I tried draining, cleaning, checking for leaks, I looked up possible causes and came across the water pump. I have bought from parts select and I love this website so I jumped on here, found the causes, diagram, installation videos, and cheap parts. Added to cart, paid, and was here in about two days. I disconnected the electricity, opened the front lid, took off the two hoses, unscrewed the pump, swapped in the new one and hooked it back up. The washer works like new, took me about 10 minutes. Removed the front of the washer, screwdriver used. Disconnected the electrical wires from the pump. Removed the two bolts from the water pump bracket, socket wrench used. Disconnected the pump to exterior drain hose, plumbers wrench used to loosen tension clips. Drained all the water out of the washer tub, not easy not very neat. Disconnected the washer tub to water pump drain hose. Removed debris that was in the hose. Then connect the hoses to the new pump, bolted the bracket back in place, put the front of the washer back on.

Take off front. Take off top. Pull off agitator. Pull off agitator coupler, after removing bolt holding in place. Attempt to remove hub nut, no joy. Wound up cutting the nut with a Dremel tool and chiseling the nut off. Closer inspection revealed a bad transmission. Due to the cost of the transmission, we will continue to use the machine until it completely fails.

Remove top of washer control panel to access filler. My hands are not large by t was difficult removing the old part and carefully trying not to drop mounting screws. Had to loosen screws twisting threads with pliers. No access for regular Phillips screwdriver. Patience is needed.

Removed the screws, pulled out the tall skinny thing that rotates, pulled out the broken part, ordered the new one, replaced it, (you have to push down until it snaps into place) Put everything back together and had clean laundry within 45 minutes. Anyone can replace this part.
