This repair is as simple as it gets. Pull up on the agitator to reveal the Agitator Coupling. Remove the old coupling and reinstall the new one. In addition to this, I found the source of a majority of the mold smell inside the washer machine. There was a build up of detergent under the Agitator. A few scraps of a puddy knife, a shop vac, and the odor was gone. The only caution is to be careful pulling up on the agitator because you could potentially hit your self in the face because it will come off fast. Easy, Easy, Easy.

This model did not quite go as in the video on this site. The agitator just pulls up off the coupler. Removed the old, put on new, including new bolt that came with it, snapped the agitator back on, viola!

Removed center hub and agitator with a sharp tug upward ( no tool required) then using a 3/8 drive and 7/16 socket I removed the stripped coupling and replaced with new one. Total repair time was less then 15 min. 10 of then were spent search web page and watching DIY video clip.

The project was pretty easy. After removing the
11 screws on the inside of the door , the handle assembly was right in the open.I unplugged the 2 switches and installed the new handle.

First, I removed the agitator by reaching in the washing machine and pulling up on the agitator until it popped off. Next, I removed the 1/4" bolt that attached the coupling to the spline. Then I removed the coupling. After removing it, I replaced it with a new one, installed a new bolt, and reattached the agitator. It took 2 days for me to get the part(ordered on a Sun)but only took me 10 minutes to repair.

I first looked it up on the Internet to see what would be the most simplest way of doing ... I found that brut force was the answer . Take the fabric softner cap off the top of the agitator then with both hands pull the whole agitator up with a lot of force. Once this is done you'll be able to see the coupling and a 7/16 bolt ( 1/4-20 ). Holding it to the metal shaft. Take the bolt out put the new nonestripped coupling in and the rest is a walk in the park.

The washer did not Agitate although it did spin. So the motor appeared to be good. I noticed that you could rotate the agitator by hand, that didn't seem right. So I pulled the Agitator off the coupler. Now the coupler can rotate by hand around the spline shaft. I removed the bolt holding the coupler to the spline shaft. The spline shaft looked good. Ordered the new couple and installed it in 10 minutes. I was fortunate that the bolt came off easy. I didn't need to use the motor to assist in getting the bolt free.

Reaching into the washer I placed both hands on the bottom of the agitater 180 degrees apart and lifted the agitater straight up out of the tub. Using a 7/16 socket I removed the coupling kit. The new one slid right on. I secured it with the new bolt supplied with the kit. The agitater went right back on the new coupler and I was done. Fast, simple and inexpensive. Repair was so simple. I used both hands to pull of the inside assembly of the washing machine. Loosened bolt with a pair of pliers. Replaced worn out agitator with new one along with new bolt. I tightened the bolt and pur back on the inside assembly and was done in less than five minutes. The part came to my house in only three days and the instructions were easy to read and understand!

Took the top cup off the agitator, popped out the agitator by grabbing it with both hands and yanking, unscrewed the nut to the agitator coupling, put the new one on and tightened it up, popped the agitator back on. Works great no problems. Though I did find out that the factory had changed the part sometime ago and it actually did need to be replaced.

First I removed the dasher by placing rope around the fins of the dasher. Wrapped the rope around a 2 x 4 approximately the width of the washer. Standing on the washer I pulled up on the board and presto. Up came the dasher, removed the bolt out of the bell, removed the bell. New part came in the next day after the order was placed! Great service. To install the new bell, used the new bolt sent with the part. Centered and aligned the dasher on the bell. Pushed down and locked in place. Turned on washer and started filling with water. Washed clothes within 15 minutes from start to finish.

Replaced the water level pressure switch. Just a couple of screws to do this. Initially the washer did not appear to be fixed, but I disconnected and re-attached the electrical connectors and then it worked.

Husband took the machine apart. We found your website - put in the parts number...and up pops a picture! Very cool! We ordered and the machine was fixed within 4 days - easy smooth! I would highly recommend this site. The part shipped out the day we ordered the part!

I removed the control panel and front panel of the machine exposing the water level pressure switch and hose. There was a clog in the hose that once cleaned out (with a shish kabab skewer)the problem was solved I didn't even need the switch which I returned and got a full refund no problem.
