MLC275CW5 General Electric Washer - Instructions

I removed the two screws inside the door and popped the top loose. I took the top off to see and have access to the interior. I leaned the front out and inserted the belt around the drum (with my wife's help), replaced the screws and laid the dryer on it's face on a rolled up blanket and proceeded to run the belt around the pulleys (two). The drive pulley was easy but the idler pulley, not so easy. I had to figure out how the pulley arm was supposed to provide tension on the belt. I figured it out by looking at the diagram. It was then I found the idler pulley was broken and fell apart in my hand. I advise that a new pulley be installed at the same time as the belt. Everything I read on your web site helped.

Open up the unit's lid first and then removed the front panel. Then I removed the broken belt and then routed the new belt around drum, through the belt tensioner, and onto to the motor pulley. I checked to make sure the belt was securely in place and if it would rotate the drum. Once I was positive it was in place I put the dryer panels back together, plug in the dryer, and tested operation. The only thing that was difficult was trying to figure out the routing of the belt through the tensioner because the old belt wasn't in place anymore. In all it was a 45 minute job.

Removed dryer top. Unscrewed the screw from each side inside the dryer the ones below the control panels. Don't unscrew those you will just have to put them back. Insert a flathead screw driver on the left side to loosen the front panel and slide it gently to the right. You can replace the drum glide without disconnecting any of the wires. Remove old drum glide and clean. Install new one and while the glue dries clean inside the dryer. Mine was very dirty!!!! Put everthing back and your ready to go. Don't forget to hook back the dryer vent. Thank you partselect my dryer is almost like new and is drying so much faster, no more noise and you have saved me lots of money.

I ordered parts, recieved in 2 days. came with upper glide, glue and instructions. instructions were easy to read and follow. I used the wood chisel to remove old felt, cleaned well with some solvent, reap[plied glue, wait a few minutes , apply felt - reassemble dryer - viola- done. very satisfied customer

Lift washer lid by jerking the lid up and open. Remove front panel by removing 2 screws at front bottom and guiding tabs out of slots. Locate tabs on tub cover and gently pry loose with a flat blade screwdriver or putty knife. Remove tub cover and inspect seal area for damage or debris. Replace new tub cover on tub and align and fasten each tab. Ensure that lid is securely fastened to tub by pressing top of cover down and visually inspecting that each tab is engaged with tub hooks. Replace front panel. Use anti-seize grease when replacing the 2 front panel screws. Use a small amount of petroleum jelly on the top lid spring clips before closing washer top. (The last 2 tips will help any future opening of the washer.)

removed two phillips screws from front panel, removed front panel and raised top cover, had my wife hold up top cover while i removed belt and installed new one, reassembled in reverse order, turned on dryer and checked for proper operation, and yes i did unplug the unit. worked great!!

Watched two videos...totally easy. Might have been able to stumble my way through it in 3 times the time. Watched the video and entire fix took about 45 minutes...awesome.

popped lid pulled front scraped old seal off ,good kit ,worked great. you guys are great 2nd day delivery,on parts for fridge ice maker solenoids and dryer parts. you got me for a customer from now on. thank you. steve

removed 2 screws, and released the clips holding the top of dryer. Lift top of dryer to expose drum. Remove old drum guide. Clean old adhesive off. Apply new adhesive, and attach new drum guide.

Works like new now

Real simple, Unplug power cord from the wall outlet. Then open the top of the dryer by inserting a flat blade screwdriver under the front and pry up till the top snaps open. Lean the top to the back to keep it out of the way. Remove the 2 screws that held the front on and remove the wires for the door switch and the light. Remove the front by letting it lean out about 8 inches and lift it up out of the two bottom clips. Then just lay it any where it will be easy to work on. Clean where the new guide will go. Then just follow the instructions that came with the part. After the adhesive is fully dry just reverse the process and you are done.

Took off front door. Cleaned all of remaining felt left.
Put on glue and installed new part.

no problem open top remove front install new belt

tilt up lid, remove front panel, replace guide, clean out dryer and reinstall.

Unhooked old hose and replaced with new one.
