agitator not spiining under load
1, remove agitator. 2 on top of the agitiataor coupling you will see a bolt. Rap lightly with a hammer and with vice grips gently remove the bolt. why vice grips if its been in there for awhile this will be your best choice. No worries the kit comes with a new one.3 Pull the coupling sraight up and out. 4. Align the splines of the new coupling with shaft and gently tap the new one on. 5 Lube the oring and tighten bolt. 6 align the splines of the agitator and gently seat the agiator all the way down. might take awhile to align everything.
trouble shooting tip remove the front cover, turn machine on and hold the agitator, no, not the kid, the one in the machine. If the agitator stops moving but the machine continues to work and the belt or pump shaft turns its the coupling.

Washing machine was dead
This repair was really easy. I only needed a screwdriver to remove the control panel enclosure and a nutdriver to remove the old control panel itself. Then I reversed the procedure to install the new part. The control panel from PartSelect was made to be used for three different types of washing machines, and it needed to be configured, but the instructions that came with it were very clear, and it only took about five minutes to set it up for our washer. Thanks!

Clothes washer agitator stopped moving. Threads inside coupling were worn so badly the agitator was free moving.
***Partselect.com had my ordered part delivered within 3 days.*** First, I pulled up on agitator and removed it. Then, loosened bolt on coupling and removed it. Replaced with new coupling, placed and tightened new longer bolt that came with new coupling. Replaced agitator and started laundry.

Water was not draining from washer
My wife calls me and says that the washer is not draining water so I was like "great"...here goes more money. After I tried draining, cleaning, checking for leaks, I looked up possible causes and came across the water pump. I have bought from parts select and I love this website so I jumped on here, found the causes, diagram, installation videos, and cheap parts. Added to cart, paid, and was here in about two days. I disconnected the electricity, opened the front lid, took off the two hoses, unscrewed the pump, swapped in the new one and hooked it back up. The washer works like new, took me about 10 minutes. Thanks Partselect!!!!

The agitator would spin freely by hand.
I first placed a rope under the fins of the agitator and used a 2X4 board to pull up the agitator which needed very little force to release itself from the agitator coupling. I removed the nut holding the agitator coupling, removed the stripped agitator coupling. Installation was just the reverse process, inserted the new agitator coupling, placed and tightened the screw, and pressed down the agitator over the agitator coupling and I was done. Over time for the repair was between 5 and 10 minutes, very easy, and I have no experience repairing washing machines.

Repair went great. The large nut had to be soaked to free it but the part was an exact fit.

Stopped agitating
I was going to replace the washer. .. I am a cabinet maker and pretty good at what I do. I have to admit before seeing the video I was out of my comfort zone with this repair. I was shown not only the part needed and that you folks had the part in your inventory on hand. I was pleased to see how inexpensive it was $7.40. I had it shipped for $8.70. I ordered online at 2 pm. the part arrived the next day at 1 pm. AMAZING!. I spent ten minutes making the repair. The machine is now back to it's like new self! Regards, MichaelAndrews.biz

Agitator was no longer moving
I am a mother of 3 so a washing machine is vital. I called various appliance repair places and was quoted anywhere from $50 - $85 just to come and look at it. I did some online research and discovered that the part itself was less than $7. After paying for 2-day shipping, my total was under $20. I thought, what do I have to lose. I received the coupling kit and read the EASY instructions. I had already removed the old one so by the time I received the new one, it took me less than 10 minutes. WOW!! I now have a working washer!! .THINK AGAIN!!

Agitator Not Working
I removed the center piece in the washer by pulling up on it, removed the retaining bolt and the agitator coupling.
Installation reverse of removal...no problems. The spline on the inside of the agitator coupling was worn out.
I never would have though about it until I searched the problem on line. I had already decided that I would have to buy a new washer (again)...I had a pressure switch problem about 6 months ago.
PartSelect is great...I ordered the parts for both problems from them and I have kept my old washer alive.
