broken shock absorber
after pulling pins and installing new shocks, the washer still made loud ,disturbing sounds during use. Did some more investigating, turns out the inner bearings on the drum are bad. Apparently a problem with this model. Probably why the original shocks broke in the first place.

Door catch broken
I paid a plumber $150 to replace this part a year ago. I simply took the screws out, ordered the part, paid for 1 day shipping, and screwed the new part on. The washer DID NOT WORK without this part, and worked perfectly the minute I replaced it.

discovered broken left shock absorber when changing "coin-trap"
I followed instructions provided in the package of replacement shock absorbers with my own improvisation. The instructions state to use a 1/2" deep socket to release a locking tab on the nylon retaining bolt on each end of the OEM shock absorber. Use a 1/2" drive 1/2" deep socket to release the locking tab; remove the bit of the 6-way screwdriver and insert the open shank in the square 1/2" drive openning. With firm but steady pressure, push the nylon retaining bolt out. If the tub gives way to your pushing, firmly hold the retaining tab on the upper shock reataining assemby of the tub. Remove the broken shock absorber and ensure all pieces are out of the connecting points. Replace the broken shock. Insert the 2x4x12" block between the wash tub assembly and the front plate. Spread liberal amount of water soluble lubricant (KY Jelly) on the nylon retaining bolt and re-insert in corresponding holes from the rear and pushing firmly to the front. Wipe off excess lube. NOTE: The right shock absorber was not broken so I left it in place. The coin trap and drain pump must be removed to gain free access to the retaining bolts. I am assuming the replacement procedure will be similar.

Broken Tub level-shock
Took bottom panel off and found the issue. Had to remove 2 plastic pins holding in the shock, which was a bit of a chore to get done given the space. Once removed, I popped in the new shock without incident and replaced the pins and lower panel. It took about 15 to 20mins given the struggle I had with one of the pins.

Loud operation, no high speed spin, drum off center
First disconnected power. MY dryer was stacked so I removed the dryer. Removed lower front access cover screws and removed cover. With the dryer (or washer top cover removed) you have easy access to the two support springs. Each is held in place with a retainer that requires 2 screws to be removed. Have someone lift the drum from below through the lower access cover and have the person on top remove the damaged spring. Take the new spring and glue the plastic end hook protectors in place using crazy glue (the glue provided was dried out). Slip the large end hook into the hole on the drum and then hook the smaller end onto the washer frame at the top. Replace the spring retainer and reassemble the cover or dryer. Reconnect power and all should work just fine. Note: the shock absorber at the bottom of the drum may also need replacing at this time. The originals seem to be a poor design and the new replacement versions are much more robust.

Pump wouldn't drain water
New pump was very easy to install..The coin trap was difficult to re install only because you are trapped with no space for tools ...Be careful when replacing the pump, for what the coin trap is ( a molded rubber part) it's very expensive...Make sure you have vise grips fo the hose clamps...Good luck it's actually pretty easy. My coin trap had a $1.97 in it.

Getting to the area of /for installing was a nightmare I removed the front lower panel only, dur to ther fact that the washer was in a confined area and could not move it out or around. I took your suggestion and used 2x34 short pieces to raise up the front end/side to make it a bit easier, I though
actual exchange of shocks went well. Perfect fits and easy to install.

One part of the catch broke off from the main unit.
This repair was incredibly easy - I simply unscrewed the broken catch and installed the new one in its place, using the same screws. The entire process took about five minutes; the hardest part was finding a Phillips screwdriver in my house! Also, I commend Part Select for the prompt, courteous service. When I called, I was connected to an actual person - not a machine - who was very helpful, and the part arrived within 36 hours after the order, without any express mailing services.
