WPSR3100W0AA General Electric Washer - Instructions

Removed the screws, pulled out the tall skinny thing that rotates, pulled out the broken part, ordered the new one, replaced it, (you have to push down until it snaps into place) Put everything back together and had clean laundry within 45 minutes. Anyone can replace this part.

This was not hard to do.removed top screws and back plate screws. Water inlet valve has 3 screws and a hose clamp.this job was thirty min. tops.goes back together much faster then taking it apart.

The repair was done as describe by others with the "hub nut" having to be cut off due to corrosion. Instructions for removal of the tub were found inside the control panel area on the left hand side. Ordering s new hub nut and cutting off the old one proved to be a necessity.

I just added the agitator coupling and screwed it in.

took out the agitator then removed the agitator coupli and found out that the coupli was worn out, i then replaced it and everything worked again

The part came very fast and was easy to install, I pulled off the agitator and removed one bolt, replaced worn out part with new part and put the new bolt that came with the part in. Reatached the agitator and washed some clothes. done

I put my fingers under the agitator and pull up , this pulled it off the couplier, then I used a 11mm wrench to remove the bolt that holds the couplier in place and pulled the couplier off, the new couplier didnt arrive until after I went to work but my wife had it all back together when I got back home,I told her what to do and she said it only took about 10 mins. to get together, very easy.

I first placed a rope under the fins of the agitator and used a 2X4 board to pull up the agitator which needed very little force to release itself from the agitator coupling. I removed the nut holding the agitator coupling, removed the stripped agitator coupling. Installation was just the reverse process, inserted the new agitator coupling, placed and tightened the screw, and pressed down the agitator over the agitator coupling and I was done. Over time for the repair was between 5 and 10 minutes, very easy, and I have no experience repairing washing machines.

I was going to replace the washer. .. I am a cabinet maker and pretty good at what I do. I have to admit before seeing the video I was out of my comfort zone with this repair. I was shown not only the part needed and that you folks had the part in your inventory on hand. I was pleased to see how inexpensive it was $7.40. I had it shipped for $8.70. I ordered online at 2 pm. the part arrived the next day at 1 pm. AMAZING!. I spent ten minutes making the repair. The machine is now back to it's like new self! Regards, MichaelAndrews.biz

Take off front. Take off top. Pull off agitator. Pull off agitator coupler, after removing bolt holding in place. Attempt to remove hub nut, no joy. Wound up cutting the nut with a Dremel tool and chiseling the nut off. Closer inspection revealed a bad transmission. Due to the cost of the transmission, we will continue to use the machine until it completely fails.

I used the "belt" technique to remove the agitator. It was difficult at first to remove but after a few tugs on the belts that were looped under the plastic bottom, the agitator came up. Then I unscrewed the bolt holding the coupler. The agitator coupler kit purchased from PartSelect came with a new screw so I replaced the old coupler with the new one and fitted the new screw in it's place. I put the agitator dasher back on and then it worked perfectly.

Got a new part in the Agitator Coupling Kit, as the existing part was worm down. Simply removed and inserted the plastic bottom, used a mallet to pound it down and it was finished. By checking a video, I felt comfortable in doing the repair myself. A greater feelings was knowing I didn't have to go out and buy a new clothes washer. I reached under the agitator on two sides with my fingers and with one good upward yank the agitator came loose. I removed the agitator from the inside of the machine, I seen the Agitator Coupling was spinning in both directions so I felt that it may have been broken. I removed the one bolt hold the Agitator Coupling in place, I remove and inspected the Coupling and noticed that the spline was worn out. I cleaned the transmission spine that the Coupling slides over with a wire brush while using a shop vacuum to catch any loose debris. I installed new Agitator Coupling Kit slipped the Agitator back inside the machine over the coupling and pressed it down until it snapped into place. Job done. Machine works great.

Agitator came off easily, but the agitator coupling was a little bit hard to remove. I have to yank it hard to be able to remove it. Putting the new part in is a bit hard too. I had to use a hammer to put it in. (with a piece of wood in between). Tried it with a small load and We're back in business. It was a pleasant experience to do business with you guys.
