WWRE5240D0CC General Electric Washer - Instructions

I first placed a rope under the fins of the agitator and used a 2X4 board to pull up the agitator which needed very little force to release itself from the agitator coupling. I removed the nut holding the agitator coupling, removed the stripped agitator coupling. Installation was just the reverse process, inserted the new agitator coupling, placed and tightened the screw, and pressed down the agitator over the agitator coupling and I was done. Over time for the repair was between 5 and 10 minutes, very easy, and I have no experience repairing washing machines.

***Partselect.com had my ordered part delivered within 3 days.*** First, I pulled up on agitator and removed it. Then, loosened bolt on coupling and removed it. Replaced with new coupling, placed and tightened new longer bolt that came with new coupling. Replaced agitator and started laundry.

Pulled cap off on top of the agitator, slipped on the fabric softener dispenser & Boom ! User friendly website in ordering this part along with quick delivery, thanks!:)

I put the nob on the post, one side is flat the rest of the lever on the dryer is round. So I matched up the lever with he inside of the new knob and slid it on . The dryer works perfectly. I ordered it on May 5 th and the nob arrived May 15 th. I guess Georgia is a long way from Arizona. But the part fit perfectly and I am happy. Thankyou.

After much research I decided to have to repaired all new models were not good. Reached out to local service repair because I beleved that it was the timer. $270 for service call REALLY and $125 for part.

83 yr old woman and believe I could have done it myself if it wasn't for the problem of moving the dryer out. shut off electric four screws

Took new one out of package, and push it on. 4 seconds!

I went on this web site and watch the video to install the dispenser and it was as easy as shown. it only took me less than one minute. I am very happy with my new dispenser.

Removed and replaced the main electronic control board that all the knobs connect to at top of washer. I had ordered this board on a Wednesday morning and I was washing clothes Thursday afternoon - the very next day. Didnt have to take clothes to my moms as I thought I would have to. Thanks, Steve. Also I transfered the white jumper wire to the new board. Never found any instructions for this but I assumed this had to be done. Steve.

I took off the front of the washer with two screw drivers. Removed the hose clamps with the pliers then removed the two screws with the nut driver and changed out the pump. Nothing to it. Easy fix, it works like new for $45 and 15 minutes.

So easy to fix. The best thing about it all was the guidance of the website. We were able to locate the exact part and followed the instructions on how to replace, piece of cake!

Remove cap from agitator (or old f/s dispensor ,if that was the problem) by simply lifting. Place new dispensor on the agitator, engage into the grooves on the agitator and push down til it stops. You are done! Leave it in place even if you're not using fabric softener on a particular washload.

I was going to replace the washer. .. I am a cabinet maker and pretty good at what I do. I have to admit before seeing the video I was out of my comfort zone with this repair. I was shown not only the part needed and that you folks had the part in your inventory on hand. I was pleased to see how inexpensive it was $7.40. I had it shipped for $8.70. My wife calls me and says that the washer is not draining water so I was like "great"...here goes more money. After I tried draining, cleaning, checking for leaks, I looked up possible causes and came across the water pump. I have bought from parts select and I love this website so I jumped on here, found the causes, diagram, installation videos, and cheap parts. Added to cart, paid, and was here in about two days. I disconnected the electricity, opened the front lid, took off the two hoses, unscrewed the pump, swapped in the new one and hooked it back up. The washer works like new, took me about 10 minutes. I removed the center piece in the washer by pulling up on it, removed the retaining bolt and the agitator coupling.

Installation reverse of removal...no problems. The spline on the inside of the agitator coupling was worn out.

I never would have though about it until I searched the problem on line. I had already decided that I would have to buy a new washer (again)...I had a pressure switch problem about 6 months ago.

PartSelect is great...I ordered the parts for both problems from them and I have kept my old washer alive.

Very easy with your great instructions in my email. took the wires off,took the hoses off,then the two bolts,put the new one on and reasembled the hoeses wires and bolts. put the front back on and that was that.
