Just like in the video, but with a stackable washer/dryer unit, works like new now....

As all others have said, without being redundant, I'd view post #1 or #2 for a good detailed set of instructions.

The primary issue I had was with the stainless steel ball bearing that was shipped with the kit. I couldn't figure out what it was used for, because when I removed the bearing carrier the ball fell out before I could see where the original one was located. The stainless ball bearing is a grounding ball, not a bearing. It goes on the exterior of the plastic bearing carrier/receiver.

Once I figured that part out, it was a piece of cake.

Took a little longer than other people's repairs, but I also put a new belt on and re-worked the exhaust duct for solid ducting versus flexible duct. fine-tuning the rigid duct work was a piece of cake with the tumbler out, since i could crawl right inside the chassis and make sure everything would line up (level legs, adjust elbows, etc)

Remove top cover and front and remove drum and install a new bearing kit and new belt.

i read reviews and finally found a person that replace the motor, rear bearing, front top glides, and tension arm/pulley.. i had cleaned the fan motor with a tooth brush best i could the 1 time i had it apart. after the 4th time apart and reading a different review that said replace the fan motor housing/fan. i did and noise gone.

Read your article on possible repairs for different symptoms and after dis assembling and cleaning certain parts took a chance on the flame sensor, which turned out to be the culprit. Your help was a valuable tool in the repair process ! What would be the bee's knee's would be the resistance reading on the sensors that monitor the system for a more accurate diagnostic approach. But none the less you definitely aided in the repair of my propane gas dryer. Thank you very much ! And by the way the 3-4 day wait for the part was well worth the half price I paid versus our small town repair facility, Thanx again

I unplugged the dryer and pryed open the top by inserting a screw driver in the space 1inch from the top on the side. After i opened it and lifed it up, I removed the one screw on both sides found in the inner part towards the front top. I then removed the front panel. The coils are toward the bottom left side. They are held in by a bracket which is held in by 2 screws. I removed the outer screw and loosened the inner screw. ( you can remove both screws but it was not necessary).I then swumg the bracket around and was able to lift out the coils. I removed the connectors and relaced the coils. Once done I re-assembled the dryer. The problem was solved.

Dryer was working, only burner was working occasionally only. So, in result the drying time was very long, and clothes were cold and still not satisfactionally dry; occasionally only it was hot. It became obvious to me that gas burner only occasionally is working. On the Internet I found some instructables, mostly on YouTube, but also on this site (the Burner diagram): thus I have learned that the culprit must be the two tiny ignition coils: they worked only sometimes, so it was only a jeopardy when checking them using a continuation meter (voltmeter with continuation feature). For the access to the burner combo I used a small checking door right below the large door, in front wall of the dryer. There are only two small screws which hold a small piece of metal which cover these tiny coils. However, I had to disconnect the burner from gas pipe to get better access to those screws. (Of course, I also disconnected the dryer from power and I had to disconnect those wire connections on the burner combo to get access to the burner). It works perfectly after this repair.

I seen a post on your website referring to the exact problem I was having. One of your staff recommended changing the control thermistor, which I did following the U-Tube video link you supplied. The repair went well and the dryer now operates perfectly ! Thanks for the accurate and helpful info.

Open the top of the dryer. Removed the broken belt and replaced it with the new one I purchased from your company.

Popped the topped using a putty knife to free two clips in front. Remove two screws now accessible on the front inside panel. Remove two wires to door switch. Remove rear access door, two screws. Remove belt from tensioner in rear and remember or take picture of how it goes. Lift barrel slightly and pivot front panel out of the way. Lift barrel free from ball socket in rear. Lift out from front panel area. R & R kit and put back in reverse order.

I first diagnosed the problem using a Google search. Amazing how many hits I got and after reading a few was pretty certain what the cause was and what parts I probably needed to make the repair.
Some of the articles I read had links or mentioned PartSelect, so I searched for my model # and found the parts I would probably need. Knowing that I could probably get the parts I needed I disassembled the dryer (pretty easy really) and removed the old suspect part. It was devoid of lubricant and the bearing and ball showed some wear so I ordered the Bearing Assembly suggested by PartSelect (the illustrations looked just like my old parts). I left the dryer disassembled while I waited for the part, figuring it would take a week or so to arrive.
Much to my surprise, the part arrived three days later and after cleaning the dryer innards of all collected lint I put it all back together in 30 minutes.
So for a little research, a $30 part, and about an hour of my time, I have a clean and quiet operating dryer. I see no reason I can't get another 10 or so years out of it.
I consider myself a reasonably handy guy but had never worked on a dryer before. I'll be unlikely to ever call a repairman without first doing some investigation and seeing if the parts are available. With the internet and PartSelect I think I could take on a lot of other repairs I'm not familiar with. Thanks for a great outcome this time around.

Disconnect from electric and water supply, and move appliance to an area where you can access front, rear, and top of dryer. On rear of dryer remove the 2 screws on the small square panel, remove panel to expose dryer motor and tensioner pulley. On top of dryer remove the 4 front screws, but not the center screw, it is not necessary as it is holding something on the inside. Open dryer door and remove the lint trap, exposing the vent. Remove the 2 plastic snaps using a flat screwdriver. This will disconnect the vent from the front panel. Next remove the 2 small screws on top sides of the control panel. Remove the 2 screws on angled back panel, and remove panel. Remove approx. 10 more screws holding the under panel on, and on the bottom of control panel. Remove under panel, and slide control panel up and pull out, disconnect electrical connection on left side. Remove front off of dryer carefully, the weight of the drum is holding it in place. Vacuum everything, remove broken belt, put new belt on drum, rib side down, and slide all the way back all around. Go to rear of dryer and remove tensioner arm off of its post, there is a slot to do so, put belt on motor pulley, reapply tensioner arm in position so belt goes around it. Spin the drum a few times by pulling on the belt to make sure there are no twists. Place the front of dryer back on, put two corner screws in the top, and reseat the drum. Reconnect the electrical connection inside dryer you disconnected earlier, plug in dryer, and turn on to test. If it heats and turns well done, if not good luck. Unplug, slide vent back in, reinstall plastic clips, and ensure that vent is seated in the foam pad on the exhaust motor vent. Work backwards and put panels back in place with screws. Job done.

my experience was just like the other responses. top comes off, 2 screws and the front comes off and the screws to the solenoids come off. Replaced the solenoids and put everything back together.

Unplug dryer.
Put up the top of the dryer at the front, remove 2 screws holding the front of the dryer to the sides and remove front of dryer. Locate ignition coil on lower left. Remove 2 screws and bracket over the two ignition coils. Replace coils and reassemble in reverse.
Everybody's happy.

All I had to do was pop in the new door catch. Works perfectly.
