RB1005XYN0 Whirlpool Wall Oven - Instructions

Unscrewed the two screws holding the rear plate of the element. Pulled the element out far emough to reach the plugs on each side. Disconnected the plugs and plugged in the new element. Put the screws back in and it was ready to go. This was the second replacement in the last five years.

turn off the oven breaker - unscrew both sides of element, pull through holes & remove wire ends. Replace with new element, reversing procedure - turn on breaker & you're good to go.

Received the part the day after ordering. Appreciated the quick service and repair took less than a minute.

Turned off power to unit onswitch box. Used Phillips screwdriver to take out old unit.Could come out at least 3"with connecting wires with clips on their ends. Disconnected clips ,connected clips to new unit and put back in place. Redid screws. Turned on power.... Wa-La ... Works Great. Thank You Very Much for your service.

The element comes with the element attached to the bracket that holds it in place in the top of the oven. I had removed the 2 screws-one on each side--on the old element and disconnected the spade connections on the wiring after I pulled the element out far enough to expose them. I then reconnected the new element, pushed it back into place and re-installed the screws that hold it in place. A pretty simple job but I got a tremendous feeling of accomplishment after it was done. Saved a bunch of $$$ also!!

I oedered a new unit matched with the Model Number! Installed .It did not work.They said Part amybe defectice.They quickly sent out another.That was installed and did not work.I contacted them again and they sugessted the Modular unit that regulated the Heat Temp. They were discontinued. They suggested I contact Corecentic Solution.com which I did.I am now in the process of shipping out my Modular Element to have it rebuilt. My stove is over 20 Yrs old .It inly costs me $110.00 to fix ourselves. Thank YouParts Select.com. You saved me over $1700.00 It would have cost to buy a new stove. I observed that the lower heating element was attached to the lower rear of the oven by two stainless phillips screws. I removed the screws and gently pulled the element outward. The element came out easily with two large red wires attached (one on each side). I unplugged the wires and extracted the old element. I used this as an opportunity to clean the floor of the oven that was hard to get at with the element in place. I installed the new element by plugging in the two red wires and used the same two stainless screws to reattach.

The part arrived in less than 2 days. I turned off the main electrical switch to the house. All that had to be done was remove two connecting screws in the back of the oven holding the heating element in place. Then I removed two connecting wires with needle nosed plies. I reversed the process with the new element, turned the power back on, and the element heated up and back in business. This was the easiest I have ever had repairing or replacing anything. The hardest part of this repair was finding a flashlight in my house that had good batteries!! Thank you for such quick and courteous service.

we replaced with the appropriate part from Part Select. The agent on the phone was extremely helpful with finding a part for our old oven.

First removed the oven door for easy access, removed two screws holding the element pulled old Element from back of oven to expose two connecting wires, disconnected wires and removed old Element. Connected wires to new Element pushed Element back into place and replaced two mounting screws put oven door back on, took about ten minutes. Very Easy!

remove two screws at rear of heat element unit. gently pull element to expose wires connected to heat unit. pull connectors apart on each end (don't let wire slip back into wall hole). connect new unit to wires, insert back into holes and replace screws into back wall of oven. Done... Now that I have done it once, it would now take less than 15 minutes.

The only problem we had was hanging on to the small screws that held the element up. No power screw drivers, so it took a little while to keep a hold of those screws. Considering we are 87 and 84 we feel great that we were able to replace both the bottom element and the broiler. I like the stove, and preferred not to shop for a new one. Simple to unscrew the 2 screws holding the element to the back of the oven. Unclip the wires.
