Inner glass of door was cracked
Slowly disassemled door from outside in. This included removing the section below the door to access the screws that were inserted vertically into the bottom of the door. There are hex screws and phillips head. There were several pieces of glass in the door that had to be removed to get to the inner glass. We finally lifted out a frame that held the broken piece and one other. Working on a flat surface we unlatched a small tab in one corner (pliers) and unwrapped frame just enough to release broken sheet. Wearing gloves we removed all the broken glass and gently inserted new piece. Realigning the other piece of glass we gently closed the frame reinserting the tab of metal and securing. Would HAVE to have two people to do this! We then reassembled the door reversing the process. Note: It is a SMALL hex screw.

The hinge broke and the oven would not close
We watched the video demo & followed it step by step. The project took about 35 minutes and we replaced the hinge on each side of the oven. First we removed the oven from the wall, then dismantled it & cleaned it thoroughly, removed the old hinges and replaced with new ones. the only problem we had was that the pin holding the hinge open was missing on one of the hinges, but we cut a nail and inserted it to hold the hinge open. The job was completed quickly, and the oven door fits and works well. Thanks for the video--it really helped us.

Door would not close
Opened oven door. Inserted a small bent nail into the small holes on the hinge. This locks the hinge from closing all the way. Removed the chrome hinge retaining plates. One at each hinge. Lifted the door off the oven. Laid door on towel. Removed 3 screws from the top of door, three screws from the bottom of door. This allows you to separate the two pieces of the door. Clean all glass surfaces, including the ones under the middle glass panel. Removed 1 screw from each hinge at bottom of door. Pull hinge from bottom of door after removing screws. Insert new spring at top of door first, replace retaining screw. Realign the two door parts and replace all screws. Set door back on hinge pocket. Be careful to insure that the hinge seats into the pocket. Open door just enough to replace retaining plates. Process was easy, but it did not fix the problem completely. Bought heavy magnets from hardware store and installed them inside the door. This with the new hinge fixed the problem.

Jenn Air oven door would not stay closed all the way so the light stayed on.
Unlike many here, the oven door closed enough to come up to temperature quickly and I could not feel any heat escaping. The oven worked fine but the light stayed on because the door just wasn't snug enough. I watched the great how-to video and ordered the hinges. They arrived in two or three days! I set up a work space, cued up the video again and the new hinges were installed in just a few minutes! But the door would not close enough to turn the light off! I did some more googling around and found the magnet trick! I just happened to have the perfect size magnet from a broken souvenir magnet! and now the light stays off! I stuck the magnet (about the size of a nickel) inside the door opposite the light button. This won't help if you have serious problems with the oven door, but it works if the only problem is the light!

double oven electric clock display - unable to read
Turned off oven power. Removed 4 phillips head screws holding the oven panel housing display, unplugged two attached cords and then placed the oven electronic display panel down on a table and removed the 4 hex head screws mounting the display into the housing. Lifted the two levers holding the ribbon into the display panel. This removed the electronic display from the housing. Reversed the process to install the new electronic display. Restored power and voila! It worked.

Clock time display was very faded, barely visible and when the oven temperature and/or timer were activated, the entire display was not visible. User had to guess the temperature and time.
First we disconnected power to the oven. Then we removed the two screws that attached the oven control panel cover to the body of the oven. Next we removed the screws that secured the faulty clock assembly to the control panel. Then we un-installed the three cable/connectors. The two wire cable/connectors were simple pull-outs. But with no instructions in either the Users Manual or shipped with the replacement part, we had no idea how to un-install the ribbon cable. Fifteen minutes later, much trial and error, and simple blind luck, we finally realized that we simply had to lift up the connector ears and the ribbon cable would disengage. Then it was a simple matter of seating the replacement assembly, installing the two screws, re-installing the three cables, reseating the control panel cover and re-installing the cover screws. Once power was restored to the oven, the clock was reset. We tested the oven temperature and the timer. All was well once again.
Question: Would you like us to return the faulty Jenn-Air part for trouble-shooting?
Recommendation for the future: Send some simple installation instructions. We both have computer manufacturing asembling experience but never worked with a ribbon cable connector like this one. That connector was a major stumbling block for us. A simple changeout turned into a 30+ battle.
But, I would like to thank you for the quick shipment of this part. It was ordered on a Monday and received in Wednesday's mail. That so FAST! and very much appreciated.
Your website is now in my Favorites and in my email address book. Thank you once again for all your help.

Door Hinge broken
I followed the online video at Jennair.com. The repair was easy and I saved quite a bit of money. I was quoted a price of $534.00 to replace the door hinges, I did it for $96.00 including overnight shipping chargers. I am a very happy lady.

Oven door will not shut tightly
Replaced oven gasket and both oven hinges. Repairs did not work. Oven door is actually worst. Do not waste your time replacing the oven hinges unless they are actually broken. When to Ace hardware and bought a package of 3 super magnets for about $10. Practice placing the magnets on metal strip on outside of the actual oven vs the oven door. This metal strip is not galvanized for which the oven cleaning latch goes through. Appeared to solve the problem. I then used epoxy glue to insure the super magnets would permanently stay in place. These are dangerous magnets that must be kept away from children and pets. You will spend more time separating these magnets from each other than gluing them in place. This part I will let you figure out but the only way to separate the 3 magnets from each other is the slide them, one at a time, from each other. Now I am awaiting 4 to 6 hours for the epoxy to cure. Best of luck. Jeff
