I removed the two screws that hold the element in place and then I pulled the element out and slid off the contacs and it was disconnected in less than two minutes. When it arrived I installed the new one the same way in less than 2 or 3 minutes and while I waited for thepart to arrive I got a chance to clean my oven and so all is well, I am very pleased with my purchase. FIrst of all I would like to say I was amazed at the quick service we received. I ordered the part at 1:00 pm on a Tuesday and my husband called me at 4:30 on Wednesday that the part had been delivered!! I was amazed.

My husband actually installed the bake element and it only took him a few minutes, the hardest part according to him was actually seperating the prongs of the old piece from the conncetion. Being that our oven is 24 years old could have something to do with that. Everything works just fine.

First I removed the two screws, then I pulled old element out, placed the new element in. Returned the screws in place. Very easy, cheaper to get online than anywhere else and was faster to get the part than anywhere else.

My husband undid the screws of the element. I went to Home Depot and they said I had to order in online. I could not find the part of the Home Depot website, so I googled the part and your business was easy to locate and order the part. It arrived in two days and I, the wife, was able to rescrew the element into place and, voila, the oven was functional again.

Removed the retaining plate screws (Phillips), pulled out the element enough to disconnect the wires, disconnected the wires. Installation was the reverse.

btw, PartSelect shipping was phenomenally fast. I ordered this part on Saturday and it was at my door at noon on Tuesday!! Holy Moly...

Made sure that "Breaker" for oven is in the off positon.

Opened oven door to the first "stay open" position...lifted door straight up...and off of the hinges....which removes the door....and allows easier access to oven.

Removed oven racks

Removed two philips head

Pulled burned out element toward the front of the oven.....exposing the two connector wires.

Used pliers to pull wire connectors from burner element connectors.

Reversed the order of this process....to install new element.

Turned off the breaker to the stove. Removed the two screws holding the element in place. Pulled off the wire terminals, removed old element. Reconnected the two wires, slid new element into place, reinserted the two holding screws, turned back on breaker. 5 minutes.

I had no instructions, so I started by removing the two screws that seemed to hold the element together. I pulled the element forward and realized I had to seperate the element from the wires. It was an old unit so it took a strong tug but it did come apart. I was hoping at this point I was doing the right thing...I reconnected the new element , pushed it back in and replaced the screws. I was very impressed with myself! The new element heated up in no time. Yeah me!

I got online, and "Googled" bake element and Whirlpool (model #), and selected PartSelect by chance. The website had a diagram of my oven with parts and it was easy to select the right part. I paid extra to have it shipped overnight and it arrived the next day. I removed two screws, disconnected the old element, and replaced it with the new element. It worked!! I think I saved a lot of money by doing the repair myself. (I am a 66 yearl old woman and will choose PartSelect by choice for future appliance repairs.)

Turn off the oven's breaker. Remove oven grates. Unscrew two screws holding in the bake element. Slowly pull the bake element out a few inches. Using pliers, CAREFULLY unattach the connectors from the ends of the bake element. DO NOT FORCE OR CRUSH THE CONNECTORS. Using your hands only, attach the connectors to the ends of the new bake element. Re-insert the element into the back of the oven. Re-insert the screws to attach the new element to the back of the oven. Turn the breaker back on. Turn the oven on bake to test the element. Go have a beer to congratulate yourself on saving $75 or more. Should take about 10 minutes if you're proceeding slowly & carefully. It'll take 2 minutes if you're reckless and get lucky, but it'll take 2+ hours if you're reckless and all goes wrong, causing you screw up the connectors and need to go buy some plus crimpers, etc.

2. Removed old bulb
3. Screwed in new bulb
4. Replaced glass cover
5. Mixed drink & baked cupcakes

It was so easy. I removed the baking racks. Then I unscrewed two Philips head screws that held the rack in place. Then I pulled the two connections apart from the wiring. Plugged the new element into the wiring. It was as simple as sliding it in and out, replaced the screws, and within minutes I was back to baking again.
