I'll tell you.......PartSelect said the items would take from 3-5 days.....I got them in 48 hrs. I turned the breaker to the oven off. I unscrewd two screws from the back of the oven and pulled the element out and took it off of two connectors. Repeated the same with the broiler element. Job done saved $200.00...Job was quoted at $259.00

The hardest part was taking out original light bulb because screws on shield where hard to unscrew after all this years . The old bulb vent out leaving neck in socket. It took narrow electrical pliers to get neck out .The generic appliance bulb did not fit and had aluminum neck ,not recommended for brass sockets in ovens.Putting new light bulb in was not the problem.

We have had our Whirlpool oven for 22 years and became very concerned that a part would not be available. We were thrilled to find the part as well as install the new part ourselves. With a screw driver, we disconnected the old baking element ( be sure to shut the power while doing this) and screwed in the new one. That simple!!!

First, I removed the oven door by pulling it open to where it loocked and then I pulled it up and off the hinges. Second, I removed the two screws on the top of the door and three screws on the bottom ot the door which allowed me to remove the front of the door. Third, using a nut driver, I removed the frame holding the inner glass to the door and removed that. Fourth, I removed the frame holding the broken glass to the door by removing the screws using my nut driver. I carefully removed the broken glass and vacuumed the channel that had the gasket in it. The gasket was fine so I did not have to replace it and will return it. I placed the glass in the frame on the gasket and reassembled the door in reverse order of how I had disassembled. All went smooth as silk.

The hardest part was figuring which breaker controlled the oven because it wasn't marked in my breaker box (it IS now!). So, first I killed all power to the stove, then unscrewed the 2 screws in the back of the oven holding the element. Pulled the element forward, then dissconnected the 2 clampy connector wires (yes, I'm a girl, no correct electrical jargon here). These were a little difficult because my oven is 21 years old & this is the first replacement I've had to do. I reconnected the new element clamps(which was easier), pushed the wires back through the opening & reinserted the screws. Threw the breaker back on, turned on oven to 200 degrees & let heat until the set temperature light turned off as a test. Voila - oven fixed!

Could not believe that the part was here the next day! Install was simple,just connect the wires and screw it in.

I got online, and "Googled" bake element and Whirlpool (model #), and selected PartSelect by chance. The website had a diagram of my oven with parts and it was easy to select the right part. I paid extra to have it shipped overnight and it arrived the next day. I removed two screws, disconnected the old element, and replaced it with the new element. It worked!! I think I saved a lot of money by doing the repair myself. (I am a 66 yearl old woman and will choose PartSelect by choice for future appliance repairs.)

unscrew and then unplug old element, then pug in and screw new element. Done

I took out 2 screws and installed new element! It took 5 mins.

Well it was quite simple to replace all I used was a long Phillips screw driver,the job only took me 10 minutes to complete,thank you so much for the part you sent me it was the correct part.

Unplug oven unit from outlet or flip the breaker to disconnect the electricity. Used screwdriver to remove face cover, pulled wire connections from posts of old bake element. Attached wire connections to posts of the new bake element(they just slip on the posts). Aligned the face cover flush with the oven wall and replaced screws to hold cover on. Reconnect electricity and ready to bake. It is very simple.... We were very pleased with how quickly the element was delivered after ordering it.

I just removed two screws and disconnected the push on clips I then cleaned the botton of the oven and replaced the element. And it works just like new.

removed racks and door (could have left door on but made it easier to reach screws) removed 2 screws from old element unplugged the 2 wires and reversed process for new element.

I removed the two screws that hold the element in place and then I pulled the element out and slid off the contacs and it was disconnected in less than two minutes. When it arrived I installed the new one the same way in less than 2 or 3 minutes and while I waited for thepart to arrive I got a chance to clean my oven and so all is well, I am very pleased with my purchase. Funny, I suppose. We decided to buy a new stove given the old age of the old one. Problem is, on delivery day it wasn't delivered and we discovered that there wasn't even one in the warehouse. At that point we got ticked and decided to look into the problem. The website led us right to the problem. We ordered, the part arrived the next day and the replacement was simple. Just unscrew the holder inside the over, unplug the old element and plug in the new. I needed needle nose pliers because one of the wires slipped behind the insulation. We also bought a thermometer and found that the calabration was right on the money. Happy campers... we saved $400.
