79096012400 Kenmore Wall Oven - Instructions

I first found a video on Youtube and watched it. Then you flip the hinge latch up and remove door from oven. Then remove 2 door handle screws and 4 screws from the bottom of the door. Then remove 2 screws from each existing hinge. Place new hinges on with new screws that came with the kit. Then replace the 4 screws on bottom of door and then the 2 handle screw and place door back on the oven and open door about half way open then flip hinge keepers back up close door and your done.

Very simple, just removed three screws and pulled the top out and turned over and then removed the two screws holding the support bar. Removed and installed the element.Surprised to see that the element burned out in such a short time.

re-moving the old hinges and replacing them with new was quite easy, the repair instructions provided were quite precise and thorough. This can be done with one person but having another hand is handy since the oven door is quite heavy. the part was shipped the same day I ordered it and arrived within 2 days. We orderes the hinge kit and replaced the bent hinges. The directions were easy to use (pictures really helped). The only issue was trying to remember where the screws went after we took it apart. Just a few moments of back tracking. Keep in mind we were working by flashlight. lol

After removing an oven rack to make room for the thanksgiving turkey roaster, I have NO IDEA, where I might have stowed it away! After searching every cabinet and every closet I realized I needed to do something quick for our annual christmas cookie marathon that would begin on Sunday. It was so easy to order the part, it arrived the next day, and we baked for 5 hours using the 3 racks in the convection oven. Dozens of cookies later... Thank you Parts Select!

Pulled out range, unplugged power used nut driver to remove back and removed oven probe. Had to change end and reinstalled in reverse order.

Talked to someone who knows , DX'd the potential problem,looked for the part on your very user friendly website and your DX was exactly what my oven was doing, when the Thermo-Sensor arrived, I unplugged the oven, removed the metal back, took out the faulty Sensor, replaced it very easy then realized the plug was different, so called a friend who knows how to Solder and 2 hrs, later, my oven was repaired and I began baking an Apple pie to repay a friends kindness The pie was perfectly baked , my friend was happy and so am I ,the baker, just before the holidays Thank you Parts Select for helpful DX and speedy delivery - seems you saved Christmas for me.
