I took out 2 screws and installed new element! It took 5 mins.

I ordered part from Part Select, which literally arrived in 2 days. I unscrewed the two (2) screws holding the old bake element in the oven. Pulled out the element and detached the wires connected to the element, which was easily done without any tools. Attached those wires (again easily by hand with no tools) to the new bake element and screwed the two (2) screws back in. The whole process including ordering the part online, unpacking the box and installing took 15 minutes. Wonderful and in time for my wife and daughter to bake Christmas cookies!

Turned off the breaker to the stove. Removed the two screws holding the element in place. Pulled off the wire terminals, removed old element. Reconnected the two wires, slid new element into place, reinserted the two holding screws, turned back on breaker. 5 minutes.

Used screwdriver to unfasten the old element from the oven frame. Then unplugged the two wire plugs from the back of the old element. Reversed the process to install the new. Couldn't have been any simpler.

First I made sure it was in fact the lower bake element that was broken. I turned the oven on & noted the element did not glow red. I also used a laser thermometer to verify the element was at "room temperature" for the room it was in (the oven - about 200 degrees, given what the upper bake element was contributing.)
And close visual inspection showed that a section of te bake element had melted thru where something had recently spilled onto it.
Swapping it out was easy - turn off the electrical breaker controlling the oven, unscrew the bake element, disconnect the electrical contacts to it (which required pliers, since they had been on a Looong time, and a little care to not use the pliers too hard & thus break the wires or contacts), then reverse the process to install the new element.

It works great now.

Simply remove two phillips screws, unplug and replug. Thanks to the quality parts I bought here it saved me $65.00 on the part alone. Locally $85.00 plus shipping.

I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. It was that easy. You made me and my wife very happy. We didn't think we were going to have the use of an oven for Christmas. You came through for us.

I removed the two screws that hold the element in place and then I pulled the element out and slid off the contacs and it was disconnected in less than two minutes. When it arrived I installed the new one the same way in less than 2 or 3 minutes and while I waited for thepart to arrive I got a chance to clean my oven and so all is well, I am very pleased with my purchase. Funny, I suppose. We decided to buy a new stove given the old age of the old one. Problem is, on delivery day it wasn't delivered and we discovered that there wasn't even one in the warehouse. At that point we got ticked and decided to look into the problem. The website led us right to the problem. We ordered, the part arrived the next day and the replacement was simple. Just unscrew the holder inside the over, unplug the old element and plug in the new. I needed needle nose pliers because one of the wires slipped behind the insulation. We also bought a thermometer and found that the calabration was right on the money. Happy campers... we saved $400.

Found breaker box and shut off power to stove, Check to make sure you turned the right breaker off before you attempt to put you hands in it, also make sure all the switches on the stove are in the off position . Open Oven Door, I used a Phillip screw driver to remove the two screws holding the Bake element in place . pull out to reach wire connections and gently pull connectors from element. Remove the old Bake element and Install the New one,by reversing process in removing the old one. after you have it back in place turn breaker back on at breaker box turn oven control to Bake setting, turn Oven Temperature control to around 200 degrees and Element should began to glow bright orange, job complete, it's that easy!~

My handyman removed the old burnt our element by removing two screws and disconnected two wires and reconnected wire and screwed the unit into the oven wall. This repair was a breeze! Thanks for making my life easier!
