JRP03*06 General Electric Wall Oven - Instructions

Getting the part out was easy. Turned the power off (of course) first. The outside nuts were corroded, so had to use a pair of pliers to get them off. The inside connectors were easier to get off. I had a little trouble getting the connectors on the wires. The metal part on the heating element kept wanting to bend. I finally had someone hold that in place while I made the connections. The outside screws were easy to put on. The oven now works great. I think the element was failing over a period of time, and we just didn't notice. I can't remember the last time I actually saw the element get RED hot. Works great. Thanks for your quick service and reasonable prices. Will definitely use you again, when I need parts like this. unscrewed the broken one and replaced it with the new heating element. Worked perfectly! 20+ year old oven.

Unscrewed old element and screwed in the new one.

Removed two small bolt screws that held the bottom burner in place. Unscrew the two small screws that attach the oven wiring to the bottom burner. Put the bottom burner back in place and screw the two small bolt screws back in and its done.

so easy it doesn't need an explanation. Just remember to throw the breaker switch before beginning!

1) Turned off breaker and verified that the oven would not turn on. 2)Removed racks from the oven. 3) used nut driver to remove two mounting screws 4) used screwdriver to disconnect bake element from the wires. 5) used supplied screws to attach wires to new bake element. 6) pushed bake element into place and used nut driver to secure it in place with screws. 7) replaced racks 8) turned on breaker 9) tested by turning on oven with oven thermometer in place.

Flipped breaker to cut power to the oven.Loosened existing element using nutdriver to remove two screws in rear plate that attaches element to the rear wall of the oven.Pulled old element gently outward exposing two screws that attach element to existing wires.Removed those two screws with nutdriver to remove old element.Reversed the process. Turned power back on and turned on oven. Element worked perfectly.

Removed burn out element,very easy to installed, screwed them in, done that fast!

Ordered the part on a Friday afternoon and was shocked to receive the box on Saturday AM! Turned off the power to the unit, unscrewed the screws holding in the old element, and hooked up the new one. We didn't have a socket wrench so we subbed a pliers. So easy & cheap! Seems like everything's breaking around this house & this is the ONLY thing that was easy & cost less than $20! Happy with Parts Select!

Used nut driver to remove old element and screw driver to remove power leads. Reversed process to install new element. Took about 5 minutes.

First I shut off power to the oven. Then, using a nut driver, I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and unscrewed the two screws that make the electrical connection. Removed the old element and put in the new one.

Turned on power and ran the oven for a while to verify that it worked and to burn off any oils on the element.

Unscrewed the broken element from the back of the inside of the oven, then unscrewed the connected wires from the element and did the reverse with the new element. Viola.

Before touching anything, however, I made sure the oven was in the off position and also went to the house circuit breaker box and flipped OFF the appropriate circuit breaker(s). There were two - one for the element and another for the rest of the controls.

When everything was in place, I turned the power back on and turned on the oven and was cooking again. We had Prime Rib for Easter.

I (a woman) unplugged the stove, took out the screws, and unhooked the baking element. I then replaced the old screws with the newer ones, and made sure everything was nice and tight. I was a little nervous at first but everything turned out okay. I plugged the stove back up & the baking element was a bright orange and it works better than ever. The whole process took about 15-20 minutes.

Turned breaker off to oven. Removed 2 screws from burned out element in back of oven and pulled it out. Installed new element and tightened the two screws. Very easy.

My oven is 31 years old so was suprised I could still get parts.

Replacing the electric oven element was easy. It took about 20 minutes and all you need is a screwdriver and a pair of pliers. What you have to do first, turn the power to the oven OFF. Remove the original element carefully observing how
it was installed and install the new element in the same order.
